You look great!

I did some running last year to train for a 5 K. Running burns lots of calories but I had some knee problems from it. I prefer swimming, water aerobics, Zumba, Powerpump, dancing, and Bootcamp.

Everyone is different. When I was eating 1200 a day and exercising, I wasn't losing. I had to make adjustments for me. Just adding 100-200 cals a day made a difference. If you lose 1-2 pounds a week without eating them back, then that works for you. If you're losing faster than that, it's not going to be easy to maintain…

You both look so young now!

Going from eating bad to eating good foods can cause this problem. A way to combat this is to plan your meals for the day in the morning. Balance your calories throughout the day so that you're not stuck trying to eat too many at night. Milk and peanut butter are good things to add for calories and nutrition. You also need…

You're beautiful!

I have a little caffeine before I work out. It gives me just the right amount of "pick me up".

Don't attempt to lose weight by doing anything you can't do for the rest of your life. If you can't maintain it, the weight won't stay gone. A woman I know messed up her metabolism by not eating carbs. After 6 months of normal eating, she gained 40 pounds. In the same 6 months, I gained about 5 pounds. The good thing is…

So true. I was slacking when school started again. When my new pants started getting tight, I started being good again. I threw out the old ones so I didn't have another option.

I've been trying to eat dinner around 6:00. If I get enough to eat during the day, I'm less likely to binge at night. I come home from work, eat dinner, work out, shower, and settle into bed around 9:00. I don't go to sleep that early but I read or watch tv until I'm ready for sleep. This schedule seems to keep me from…

I usually have a bottle of water, cup of coffee, or diet soda instead of eating. I've had to train myself not to eat unless I'm really hungry. You can do it, you just have to find the will-power to stop eating for enjoyment.

After my second baby, I ate about 900-1000 calories per day and didn't exercise at all. I lost all of my baby weight and kept it off for a long time. I was small for a number of years but I wasn't fit. This is better. I weigh 10 pounds more than I did back then, but I'm the same size. I also feel stronger and healthier…

It's up to you. Everyone's body is different. If you're not losing more than 2 pounds a week, I'd say keep doing what you're doing. When you hit the dreaded plateau, up your exercise and up your calories.

Netflix. It has unlimited dvds and online streaming for about $10 a month. I definitely get my money's worth.
-
I prefer the group fitness classes. I take Zumba and Power Pump. Zumba is extremely fun and Power Pump does the firming I want.

I usually have eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast. Then I have grilled chicken or fish with veggies for dinner. I usually have room for a nice lunch and a couple of low cal (carrots/apple slices) snacks during the day. The smaller you are, the fewer calories you need and the longer it takes to lose. It kind of stinks…

Depends on what works for you. Try 1200 with exercise and if you lose, great. If you're not losing, try eating some of your exercise calories. Everyone's different.

I usually take Magnesium supplements if i'm having a little difficulty. If I'm really having trouble, I drink Dieter's tea with lemon. I've heard doctors talk on the radio and say that colon cleanses are a waste of money. The body naturally cleanses itself out.

I weigh daily, but that works for me. I know my weight will be up and down. I would say weigh in at least once a week after a day of "rest" from exercise.
-
I hope you're planning on eating at least 1200 cals today? :P You might want it to keep track of your sodium. I've found that particularly helpful if I find I'm gaining or not losing.
-
Look up strength training under cardiovascular exercise. It doesn't burn very many calories but you should log it anyway.
-
Soon you'll start to feel better. Just stick with it. Make sure you're eating a balanced diet and that you're not going to far with the exercise. Do you take vitamins?
-
Relax. You didn't gain 2 pounds in one day. I ate chinese over the weekend and was up 3 pounds yesterday morning. This morning, after exercising and drinking lots of water yesterday, it's gone. Don't weigh yourself when you feel bloated. Just get lots of water in your system and flush it out.

It takes a little time for your body to settle in to your new weight. People generally didn't start noticing until I had stopped losing for about 3 weeks. Just keep doing what you're doing. You will notice the difference soon.

You have to find something you like doing. Walking on a treadmill is boring. I have several dvds at home for cold days and I go to Zumba and Power pump at the gym. You might be able to check out some exercise dvds at your local library. They also have several on Netflix. Doing the same workout all the time is boring to me…

I usually do some light cardio or stretching when I'm sore. It seems to help better than "resting". It's very light intensity and doesn't burn many calories but it makes me feel better. I usually eat between 1200-1300 calories on my rest days.
-
I love food. It's how I gained the weight in the first place. One thing that helped me was allowing myself one cheat meal per week. Any time I felt like eating something bad, I would tell myself to save it for my Friday night meal. I would get a cheeseburger and fries, or Mexican food, or pizza, or Chinese food. The other…

I log anything that has calories in it.

One cheat day isn't going to kill you. Just get right back to it. Stop with the feeling guilty stuff. This is a process and it's normal to cheat every now and then.

I lost the best in the beginning when I was exercising for 30 minutes 3 times a week. When you get used to it, you can add time, days, and intensity. I usually do about an hour of exercise 5 days a week. The good thing about exercise is that it revs up your metabolism. You actually should do both to lose weight.
