You might try decreasing your exercise just a little. When I was losing the most weight, I was exercising 30 minutes 3 days a week and eating my exercise calories. When I tried to go overboard on the exercise, my body rebelled because I put it into shock. Slow it down just a little and weigh yourself after you've had a…

I always eat within the hour because I'm hungry after a hard workout. I tend to listen to my body about when to eat.

I started with 30 minutes 3 times a week. This was the amount that led to the best weight loss for me. Exercising too much made my body hold on to the pounds. As your body gets used to exercise, you need to increase intensity, weight (for weight lifting), and time. I'm now doing 5 days a week for 45 min to an hour and a…

Bless your heart honey. I'm so sorry that happened to you. The first step would be for you to bring your lunch to school. I'm a teacher and put on 25 pounds my first year just by eating school lunches. It is tough to eat healthy when you don't do the grocery shopping. You might start by asking your mom to buy whatever kind…

I aimed for the middle of my healthy weight range. I'm not sure what my weight should be because I'm building muscle and I know it weighs more than fat does. I'm just eating right and working out. When I'm at my right size, I figure I'll know.

I love my extra crunchy Jif peanut butter and refuse to give it up. I try to stick with half a serving (1 tbs). I find it gives me lots of energy for workouts. You can have it in moderation.

Anything by the Black eyed peas or Pink.

Make sure you balance your diet between dairy, protein, carbs, fruits, and veggies. Drink all of your water and stay below the recommended sodium level. When I started exercising, my muscles retained water. I was smaller but the scale didn't show it. Just keep going. It takes quite some time to gain our weight and it takes…

I can't set mine like that either. I'm too close to my goal weight and it won't let you go below 1200 per day. What you could do is eat your 1200 and exercise. You'll lose at a faster rate.

Look up couch to 5 K and follow the guidelines. I went from not being able to run at all to doing a 5 K in about 10 weeks. My finish time was about 9.2 minutes per mile. This was a pretty good time considering what horrid shape I was in before the training, I felt pretty proud of it.

I've gone down 2 sizes with a 20 pounds loss. This is from diet and exercise combined.

Your daily activities burn so many per day. When you set up your goals, it will create a deficit depending on how fast you want to lose. Your daily calorie goal doesn't even take exercise into account. When you log exercise, it will tell you how many more calories to eat while still maintaining the deficit you need to lose…

I've heard jumping rope burns more cals than running. Is that something you could do?

I eat them when it's a particularly hard workout and I'm feeling particulcarly hungry. The key for me is eating enough that I don't go crazy and binge.

Yeah, if you figure it out, let me know. I bought a 3 year gym membership for hubby and me in June. He went with me for the first month. He's not been in 6 months. I asked if he'd use it before I bought it and he said he would. I guess time will tell if he decides to use it before it expires. :)

I just do the general aerobics thing when I log. I know I burn a little more than that but it's the closest thing I've found in the database.

I'm working on it. I did better today than I thought I would. I'm not quit yet but I've cut way back. I found a website with tools for calculating your triggers and learning how to separate them. I'm hopeful that I will do it this time and I won't gain weight. That's the part that has had me fearful about stopping in the…

I usually have days like this after I lost. My body wants its padding. I do my best to stay as close to the allowance as possible. If I go over, I try to make it up the next day. I think it's your weekly calorie amount that matters anyway.

As you lose weight, you'll lose all over. Relax!

I joined becomeanex.org I have started logging every cig I have and why. I'm learning to separate my cravings from my triggers. The goal is to be nicotine free by May 1. As scared as I am, I can do this. If I can lose this weight and live a healthier lifestyle, I can give up cigs. It will lead to better workouts and easier…

I've developed alternatives to my cravings. If I want pizza, I'll have a lean cuisine frenchbread pizza. If I want a burger, I'll have a roast beef and cheese sandwich on a low calorie deli flat. If I want something sweet, I'll have a low cal hot chocolate or coffee. It really helps to come up with a low calorie…

I have been much more successful with MFP than I have with any calorie counting before. They have a huge database and it's easy to just add your food. It takes me about 5 minutes to plan my food for the day and I love it.

I usually eat a piece of fruit and peanut butter on a cracker before. Then I eat a carb and a protein after. It will take a few times for you to figure out what works best for you. You can't eat a big meal before a run or it'll cause your stomach to cramp. If you don't eat at all, your muscles become fatigued and you can't…

Your funny lol. I never have shoes on when I exercise in my living room. It's probably not recommended but I haven't hurt my feet yet.

I do a "cheat meal" every week or two . Cheat days really don't work well for me. I go way over on calories and I feel bad for days after. If you're feeling particularly hungry at the end of the week, get yourself a nice dinner on Friday or Saturday night. You may be up a couple of pounds the next day, but it'll be gone…

I think the sizes are different. In Junior High, I went from a kid's size to a size 3. I'm pretty sure they didn't have 0 and 2 back then. Maybe they did but I never saw one. My size 8 jeans from years ago fit the same as size 6 in the stores now. I don't know if this is vanity sizing or if the sizes just changed at some…

We're going to do it slowly. We're starting the logging process tomorrow so we can know how many we smoke in a day. I know it's sad but we really don't know. Then every week on Monday, we're going to cut it down by 2 per day. We're hoping the slow withdrawal of nicotine will help our bodies adjust. My mom's thyroid went…

Aim for 2 pounds per week. You may lose 10 pounds really fast but this is just your body getting rid of the junk. Any more than two pounds per week after the first couple of weeks, isn't considered healthy weight loss. As you get smaller, your suggested calorie intake will be smaller. That's because it takes fewer calories…

Being married for 25 years and hearing all these dumb comments my husband makes, I tend to agree with the poster who said that your hubby probably didn't even realize he was insulting you. He probably meant the other people in your class, not you. They don't think like we do and are oftentimes confused when we react to…

Depends on the man. My 23 year old daughter has always been "average" sized. She's never had any trouble getting the boys interested in her. She has great curves, a beautiful face, and a really cute personality. She hasn't been single for more than a week or two in the last 10 years.
