I know this feeling all too well. I felt like that when I hit the 170s. And suddenly, I'm only a couple of weeks from being in the 160s. I'm almost giddy from the excitement!

Exactly how I felt in my new skinny jeans. Skinny jeans, me?!?! Never thought that day would come!

Even the curvy shape doesn't help with my big bum! I have to buy the smallest size that fits my bum, wear a belt around the loose waist and wash it constantly so the shape looks decent around my legs. I don't know if I'll ever find curvy jeans that fit me properly

This does work for me. It helps avoid boredom eating for sure because plain water can be a bit umm...plain! Flavored green tea definitely helps curb unnecessary snacking.

I want to become Michael Phelps. Is there a diet for that?(Please remember I'm a woman)

If you go to fitnessblender.com, they have a way to choose workouts based on intensity. Maybe scale down from whatever you were doing.
-
Oooh...I never thought of this! I measure only milk(I don't drink juices etc), so I guess I'm getting a reasonable estimate. What do you think?

20 lbs(196-175) to go from 14 to 12. I do think I was ready for a 12 some 5 lbs ago but the muffin top look was not flattering at all.

1. Buy a food scale and measure obssessively 2. Buy a weighing scale and weigh yourself once a week(or however frequently you want) 3. Don't go below 1200 calories net a day 4. Keep coming back to the forums and shouting out for help if you find yourself slipping 5. Add a lot of friends. You need two types of friends -…

I lost no weight while nursing my daughter. It's almost like magic how the weight started melting off once I weaned.
-
I lose weight from my face as soon as I start. So even at 5 lbs, people started noticing. But a lot of people started commenting after about 20 lbs.
-
This is an excellent approach!

My weigh in for the week is tomorrow. I'll stop by then! Good luck everybody!
-
I even measure my liquids on my scale by turning the unit to ml. I simply don't trust cups anymore.

This is what I do. I'll just settle for a smaller deficit and eat on the days that I really need to. That being said, I do get very lightheaded on my second and third days and I do need to eat a bit to keep that horrible feeling away.

What size is appropriate? Where is this rule book that I've never seen? I'm a pant size 12 and I'm told that I can't wear this and then that. I'll wear whatever the hell I want!
-
I'm a much smaller size than you but I have the same problem! My darn butt is huge and so anything that fits me well around my bum is huge around my thighs and my waist.
-
Ah no...the problem with maternity jeans is that they're meant to highlight your growing belly. It's not particularly flattering if you want to lose weight and are trying to look good. Having said that, I have never worn jeans as comfortable as my maternity jeans. I wore them until my daughter was 10 months old …

Make small goals. First aim to lose 10% of your bodyweight and reward yourself when you get there. Next, aim to lose 25% of your body weight. The first 15-20% or so will come off easily but that's good for your morale because you've shown yourself that you can do it. And don't worry about people kicking you when you're…

Caloric deficit is when you eat less than your body burns on a given day. 3500 calories constitute a pound, so if you want to lose a lb a week, you'd eat 500 fewer calories everyday. You can calculate your golden number the updating your MFP profile and putting in your info.

That's a good call. A lot of those pills are unregulated and I'd be very very wary. If you have any questions on how to get started, this forum is where you'd ask  All the best!

I'm a DD or DDD. I was a G until I was nursing my daughter. I always need 2 bras to run in. I've tried some 20 different bras but nothing works as well as my 2 bra combination - 1 Nike High Impact bra underneath an UnderArmour Medium Impact bra.

It happens to the best of us. Chin up and move on!

This is the way I do it - I weigh myself once a week but the day before, I eat the same meal so I don't get too much fluctuation from retained water, bloating etc. And as long as I see a downward trend throughout a month, I'm happy.

Ah yes...the classic gaining weight while running. When you're unfit, even a slow jog can feel like a marathon. It's very likely that you congratulated yourself on doing such an amazing job and ate a nice big meal when in reality, you burned all of 120 calories. Been there, done that.

Multiple things need work : 1 . You have got to weigh food. There's no other way to accurately log your intake. We are shockingly inaccurate with eyeballing portions. Even cups and spoons don't cut it. A good kitchen scale can be bought for around $10 from any store. 2. 2 lbs a week is a very aggressive goal. If you scale…

I need those two bowls in my face! Right now!

Are you close to getting your period? All those things happen to me when I'm PMSing.

This. This is what I do. I tried to do salt free days at the advice of my nutritionist and noticed my head rushes coming back and I stopped that in a hurry.
