Thanks so much everyone! I am blown away by the amount of responses! I think that everyone who is considering it should definitely do some sort of photo shoot once you get your goal weight! It's been such an uplifting experience!!

Thank you so much everyone, I am humbled and honored to be considered an inspiration!! I'm looking forward to the maintenance stage, but am also a bit scared!! I know I need to add some strength training in at this point, but am not really sure how to go about that, so any tips in that area would be great! Good luck to…

Thank you so much everyone! Your kind words are wonderful to hear! A year ago I never would have considered taking pictures like these, let alone posting them for the world to see!! But I finally feel like my body is something I should be proud of, and I worked hard to feel this way! :)

Thanks everyone! I highly recommend doing a photoshoot, pin-up or otherwise, when you reach your goal! It's a day that can be all about you, and it's a fantastic way to document your accomplishment! The photographers names are Penny and Aspen, from Centree Photography, and they are superb! www.candiedphotos.blogspot.com…

Thanks everyone! Since I posted this I have indeed reached my weight loss goal! I'm now working on maintaining, and possibly losing 5 more pounds! As a reward, I got some photos taken with a photographer friend, and once they are ready i will post them too! Thanks again for all your responses!!

I am in the EXACT same boat! I wonder if I should be eating maintenance calories and exercising more? I'l like to lose about 5 more pounds but I'm at a healthy BMI. Looking forward to hearing some responses! Great question!

LOL! Thanks viviakay - I guess I oversimplified!

If you want to lose weight, then you need to eat LESS than your BMR. Eating equivalent to your BMR is how you maintain weight. 3500 calories equals one pound, so to lose 1 pound per week you need a 500 calorie deficit per day. Hope this helps!

Wow!!! You go girl! That post seriously gave me goosebumps!!!!!

You can do it, you really can! Posting here was a great thing to do... you can get advice, inspiration, and help from all of us in teh same boat! I tried so many times to lose the weight, and I'm not sure what made it happen for me this time, but don't give up, it will happen for you too!! How tall are you? Losing 100…

TABS!!!!! You look awesome, just awesome!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! I honestly don't ever remember you looking as heavy as you did in your 'before' pic, and though when I see you at work I can tell there's been a huge change, you'd never know that rockin' bod was under there! I've never seen you NOT wearing scrubs!!!…

Thank you for the responses! I will give the knee bends a try for sure. Once the appropriate muscles have been strengthened, is this something I will be free of forever, or is it a reccuring type thing? Thanks again!!

LOL! I have this one too! J also find the strap too long for my arm. But, for $3, it gets the job done!

Welcome! I am also from Alberta! September is a long time away, and you can totally be rockin' a new bod by then! Just do your best to be under your calorie goal, and log your food, every day, no matter WHAT!!! I've lost 60lbs in 6 months... you can too!! Feel free to add me if you'd like!

Thank you very much everyone! I'm 5'6". For exercise I basically just run! I'm a C25K graduate.... I need to add in strength training but I haven't found anything I enjoy, or ant gyms/classes that fit my schedule. I'm at the point now where I need to worry less about weight loss and more about toning, and I'm not sure how…

Thank you very much everyone!!! :) This is just what I needed to get excited about those last few pounds!

I'd just like to move them up, ha ha!!!

Well, I have gone from a 40DD to a 36C, and though I am much happier they are smaller, I wouldn't say they are "nice"!! But - that has at least as much to do with nursing two children as it does the weight loss! If we could afford it, I'd be buying myself some TaTa's for sure!
-
Whoops! Double post!!
-
I'm a new runner, just now moving (slowly) from 5k to 10k. I have a hard time with the first few k before things seem to loosen up and I find my groove, so I usually say to myself, "You WILL feel awesome, you WILL feel awesome!" and, at the end, I do!!
-
LOL @ hurtin' Albertan, hee! Any and all are welcome to add me as well!
-
