Goal reached! and a pin-up photo shoot reward!
I did it! My goal weight of 140 lbs was met in mid-January! One of my close friends happens to be a fantastic photographer, and I recently did a "pin-up" photo shoot with her as a reward! It was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had! I've never felt sexier, more beautiful, or more confident!! I'll start…

Question for the lady runners....
I gotta know... What type of underwear(if any) do you wear for running? I'm torn between comfort and VPL, and going commando seems a bit...sweaty. What do you do?

59 pounds down... (new pics!)
I've lost my motivation lately! Maybe it's the cold, maybe it's the Holidays... I was planning on waiting until I reached my goal weight of 140 before posting another thread, but it really helps me to see the changes, so I figured I would do it now to get my motivation back! Ideally, I'd like to get to 135, but I just want…

Runner's Knee?
Hi Everyone! I've been doing some Googling and it seems like I may have "Runner's Knee" I feel fine at first, but then about 2.5k into a run, I get a weird almost electric feeling under my kneecap. I have been just pushing through it, and it comes to a point where my knee almost gives out, and then tapers back to a dull…

Is there a way to determine your 'ideal' weight...
...other than BMI? My BMI gives me a range of 115-155, so I'm shooting for the middle, but that's quite a range, and apparently not all that accurate of a gauge anyway! So, how do we really know when we are at our 'happy weight'?

40 pounds down (with pics)
I've lost 40 pounds since the beginning of July, but honestly, to me, it feels like all 40 pounds came off today, when I put these two pictures side by side. I was living in some sort of dream world before, because I had no idea I looked so overweight! It was the number on the scale that scared me, not what I saw in the…

Feel good moment!
Had my yearly check up at the Dr's today, and the first thing the Dr said is how good I look, and that he couldn't believe I still had more weight to lose. THEN, and here's the best part - he said he had some weight to lose as well, and that it was hard to get motivated. So - I showed him the MFP app and he downloaded it…

Nike+'ers, are you up for a challenge?
Would those of you with a Nike Sensor like to join a challenge on the Nike website to see who can log the most miles in a month? If there is enough interest I'll create a challenge for us - what do you think??

How can I get more core strength?
Actually, the title should probably say, how can I get SOME core strength, as I'm pretty sure I have none!!! For example, if you are familiar with Pilates, the 'Roll Up' move where you essentially do a slow sit up, with your legs flat: http://pilates.about.com/od/pilatesmat/ss/RollUp.htm I can't do this move, AT ALL! It's…

Is it bad to run every day?
Everything I have read so far seems to say that a day of rest in between runs is best. I'm currently on Week 2 of C25k, and I'd like to go for a run tonight, but my regular day is tomorrow, and I'd still like to do that one too! I have a 5k in 9 weeks and I'd like to be as prepared as possible! Will a few extra runs here…

C25k'ers, give me hope!!!
So, I am just about to start week 2 of C25k, tonight, but today I attempted running a 1/4 mile to calibrate my Nike Sensor. I could barely do it! Now, it took me about 2 1/2 minutes, and currently the program has me running only 60 seconds at a time(well, 90 starting tonight!) Anyway, I have signed up for a 5k on October…

I did it! C25K Week 1 Day 1 in the bag!
http://go.nike.com/0jn7k2u It felt so good! I think I may have to do two weeks of each, instead of one, because I think it was a bit harder than it should have been, but, I did it!! Though I stopped during two of the 60sec runs, one because my ipod fell, and one because a dog jumped on me, LOL! I can't wait to do it again…

Ouch! My shins!
I'm doing the 30 Day Shred, and I am soon to start the C25K running program. During the shred, whenever I do jumping jacks, or the butt kicks, my shins hurt when I land each step. I'm scared that when I start running this same thing will happen and I will need to stop, which I don't want to do! I guess it feels a little…

What's your daily water intake?
MFP recommends at least 8 cups of water each day. That means eight, 8oz glasses, meaning 64oz per day, right? I'm getting about 50oz per day, and sometimes more... but I pee ALL the time! Does this get better after your body adjusts to that much water? Does that mean I am having too much for my body? How many oz do you…

Hi! Starting fresh...
Hi Everyone! I joined this site a few months ago, but fell off the wagon and have just found my way back. I am determined to stick with it this time! I have a 3.5 year old son, and a 10 month old girl. After each pregnancy, I lost the first few pounds easily, but then worked my way back up!! I currently weigh only about 10…
