  • That's awesome Max!! Way to go! I think you would really love having the Nike sensor to track your distances. AFM - I had a great run last night, but then realized my Nike sensor was in upside down, so it only said I went 2.5k! I googled my route and it said 5.9k - I'm so disappointed that i don't have an accurate graph of…
  • Regarding working out - as jrich said, a calorie is a calorie, but I've read that people who work out at 6:45am tend to push harder and burn more calories than those working out at 6:45pm. That being said, most of my workouts happen after the kiddos are in bed for the night! Regarding weighing - I weigh myself every…
  • Yay!!! Way to go sista!! I hope you get addicted to running like I now am! I've been meaning to add my small successes as well: 1) I also notice my shoes are looser. 2) I am finally comfortable wearing 'normal' underwear as opposed to the maternity underwear I have worn for about 4 years. 3) Today I wore a shirt that I…
  • That's fantastic! You are such an inspiration!!! You've essentially lost ME! ( I weigh 170 now) I started at 200 pounds, and my 3.5yo son weighs 30 pounds. I can't believe I have lost a weight equal to him, imagine losing a weight equal to another adult!!!
  • I have the F6, in the women's version, and I like it! Still figuring out some of the details but I find the chest strap very comfortable, and the watch is bigger than I would wear in a normal watch, but it's not too terribly bulky.
  • Hi All! I haven't checked in in a while... I'm still trucking along but I have been just running 5k instead of stopping after the allotted time. Last night I just used my own music instead of the podcasts, and it felt weird, LOL! So - I may go back to using the podcasts and just continue running until my Nike Sensor tells…
  • I'd like to know this too!
  • It will be hard, but if you want it, you can get there!!! You are so young - by 25(and probably sooner) you can smasj your goal and have the body, the confidence, and the energy that you have always wanted! Just take it one day at a time and DON'T GIVE UP!!! We are all here for you!
  • Way to go on getting through it Max!!! I seem to have an easier time running in the evenings, which is the opposite of what everyone says should be the case... it's going to start getting darker earlier very soon though, so I am going to have to get used to those morning runs! I did W6D3 last night, and it did feel harder…
  • Welcome Melodi!! It's an adjustment at first for sure! My tummy growled at night for the first week, I think! But you are right, it is a mind thing, at least somewhat, and your body will get used to it before you know it! Try drinking more water to curb your hunger - if you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 20…
  • My first few weeks here were crazy! I basically lost 11 pounds in 11 days. Now I have been here 60 days, and have lost 27 pounds, so things have slowed down, but still moving along at a nice pace!!
  • Hi Anniee, and welcome!!! I use a Nike Sensor, so you can take a peek at my graph to see my speed. My 5k distance included warm up and cool down too. I went 5.47k in 48 minutes, averaging 8.47kph. (I'm in Canada so I'm in KMS too!) I think that it will take me 35-40 minutes to actually run all 5k. link to run:…
  • Hi All! Just did W6D2 - it was much better than D1! I finally made it to a 5k distance as well, though I had to add in an extra 5 min run to do it!! Hope all is well with everyone else!
  • I am a mom of 2 as well! A 3.5 year old and one that's just a few days shy of her first birthday! I'm finally back at pre-first-pregnancy weight(just barely) but have another 35ish pounds to go! It is very hard with two kids, but I've realized that the more fit I feel, the more I can do on less sleep, LOL! So I try to work…
  • That's awesome! My Doc noticed I had lost weight at my last appointment as well, it's a great feeling!!

  • I drink coffee every day, and with yummy flavored creamer. I just make sure I have room in my calories! I've lost 27 pounds in about 60 days, so, I don't think it's been detrimental to weight loss at all!
  • Max - way to go! I agree, when they were announcing the times for the other days I kept thinking, okay, so two 5 min runs plus 2 3 min walks... I kept trying to add up in my head how long I had been running for, LOL! I also did a longer cool down that day and enjoyed that too! I hope your back pain is gone for good!! ljc-…
  • that I don't have a belly to suck in!
  • You look fantastic! I'd love to see a current picture as well! What an inspiration! You look so much younger!
  • Weight this am 173.8!!! Down 2 pounds from last week, but it's more like 3, because I was up for a few days there!!!
  • I did it, I did it, I DID IT!!!!! And - you know what??? It felt friggen fantastic!! So fantastic that I didn't even stop at the 20 minute mark, I went a few minutes longer!!! It was like, about 12 minutes in, my lungs opened up, my legs loosened up, I found the groove and I just went!! I felt like I could have run…
  • You look fantastic! As a current C25K'er, you are truly an inspiration!! Way to go!!
  • I'm just about done week 5 - just wanted to say you guys can do it, and it will feel great! Best thing I have ever done, hands down!
  • Hey guys! I'm at work right now, started back tonight after a year of mat leave. I work till 11pm and I don't get home until midnight, and then hopefully asleep by 12:30am. I'm really hoping to get up in the morning to run that big 20 minute run! If not, it will happen after the kids are in bed, but some weeks I will be…
  • That sounds fantastic after a morning run! Bumping to come back to so I can get all the ingredients!!
