Hi, I saw your post. I just want to encourage you. I lost over 300 lbs, had both knees replaced and have changed my life. When I started I could barely walk. Now I am a fitness instructor. It is all about regaining control of your life. Good luck and keep logging everything. I still do.

Just as a matter of encouragement I have lost over 300 lbs and kept it off. If I can do it at age 60 you can too.

Try the Schwinn Airdyne. I use it and other than the noise I love it.

If you maintain a good pace in the workout. You can log it as circuit training.

I had both knees replaced last summer. Although it is not a fun experience, the results are great. It takes a great deal of work but you can do it. My brother in law just had his second and he is excited to be able to hike the mountains again. I am more active than I have been in 20 years. Research it and understand the…

I am in, 8000 burned and 9000 taken in.

I agree that the issue probably resides in the kitchen. I exercise much like you and I lost 300 lbs. I maintain my weight by controlling my diet as well as my intense exercise. Look very closely at your diet. Exercise alone, like diet alone can do only so much.

Protein, protein, protein. A;so keep in mind that many times we are a bit dehydrated when we think we are hungry. Trya glass of water and always stay hydrated.

I use an indoor rower. It works the whole body and particularly great for working the core and legs. They say doing an hour on the rower is like doing 1800 situps.

If you are seriously working out, I agree with the protein shake.

Drink water. Many times it is dehydration not food hunger. Works for me.

Unfortunayely it is not true. It is a claim a company used to make about losing weight while you sleep. The truth is eat three squares a day and get your exercise. That is the solution.

How about 59

1700 is fine. I live on about 1400 a day. As long as you are balanced in what you eat then you are alright.

Outstanding job... we are all proud of your accomplishment. Keep working.

Funny story, about thre weeks ago my wife and I went to Walmart to get a few things for my hospital stay. She went across the store and when she came back she walked right past me. I say she was not paying attention, but she says she did not see me.

They can be a great workout. The advantages are that they give you a great deal of flexability in your movements. They are also easy to store and relatively inexpensive. I use them as part of my overall fitness program. But they are only as good as the amount of work you put into them.

Patty, work hard and welcome. I had Gastric Bypass and have lost 270 lbs in 19 months. I think logging my food and exercise really helped me gain control. Good luck and kep up the good work.

Yeppers, my doctor said it is not unusual. Some of us will have our internal thermostats self correct. The rest will buy gloves and wear more clothes. A willing price to pay. Harold

I use EAS, mix it with some Mootopia (a local high protein skim milk) some mixed frozen fruit and voils. It is about 320 calories as a meal replacement it is hard to beat. Harold

Throw away the scale.... Journal your food and exercise and your body will do what it is supposed to. Do not compare to anyone else we are all different. Eat healthy and exercise. If you do that you cannot fail. By the way, did I mention to throw away the scale?
