I'll be looking at getting more protein in. I'm still in the experiment stage, trying to find what works best for my body in terms of meals, how big, how often, etc. For those of us looking to add more protein, I found this link... http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/foods-highest-in-protein.php I have a hard time…

How do I figure how much protein I need? I am thinking about going and getting that bod pod thing-a-ma-jig done to calculate my BF% which should help me figure out my LBM (%?). Which should help me set a reasonable protein goal. As for exercise - I'm walking. And not that much, tbh. I push myself though. I go for as fast…

There is no way to spot reduce, from what I've read. There was a poster or two that recommended dropping BF% (not weight, necessarily) and doing a body recomposition, to get that toned and tight look. I think that is your best avenue fitness wise. I am concerned about what happens if you don't like your body after its been…

I'm still learning how to meet all my macros, but I'm pretty good about staying at or under my calorie goal. With that in mind, if I want something "bad" I will figure out exactly how much of what I can eat to still stay within my calories. For instance, this morning I had sugary cereal, and I plan on eating 1 oz of chips…

Are you weighing food with a scale or just using measuring cups?

I was a fat bride. I weighed 275 lbs on my wedding day. And I looked AMAZING!!! Sure there are some spots that I'd prefer weren't there. But those pictures show so much more than how much I weighed. I do plan on doing a photo shot with my husband on our 10 year anniversary, at which I hope to be close to (or at ) my goal…

Me too! Feel free to add me. :)

If you're netting 1400 calories, I wonder if you're over-estimating calories burned in exercise. As much as it is frustrating, the calories-in-calories-out does work. Sometimes it takes a larger deficit to achieve your results. Some times your body will respond better to different foods (like people who do low-carb or…

Snack foods is my own enemy. Chips and crackers, etc. Oh my. I love how they taste but I cannot normally do just one serving.

In for the popcorn!! :)

I have ~175 lbs to go. Feel free to add me!

I think it's a great place to start. I push myself on my walks, and at some point pushing myself is going to get me into jogging and then into running.

Can you add more vanilla extract to the batter? Or fruit? Fruit juice? Mmmm some pineapple juice sounds DELICIOUS!

QFT. Let's start giggling!!!

Question...... Why not just do the work that targets your core muscles?

I've been rejected because of my weight, but for every rejection (which is a suprisingly small number), I've been asked out more often. I gotta hand it to my friend. I've been crushing on him for YEARS and he let me down so gentle. I was miffed when it happened, but looking back, that boy had CLASS! And IDK what you mean…

You can set alarms on the fit bit flex to vibrate at a certain time. I set alarms for every hour I'm at work. A quick walk around the building is all I need. :)

F*&$ them. If someone is laughing at you, it's because they HATE THEMSELVES. It is NOT a reflection on you as a person, or on your body. F*&$ them! Stop putting stock in other people's opinions. Look in the mirror, directly in your own eyes, and say, "I am ENOUGH! I am doing the best I can with what I have available. And…

I weigh often (about every 1-2 days) but don't record the weight except on weigh-in day (which is Sunday mornings for me). On the recorded weigh-ins that don't meet my expectations, I used to be prone to fall into a pity party, and question why I'm doing this cause I'm a BIT FAT FAILURE!! <enter tantrum and crying, etc>…

Feel free to add me. I was diagnoses this year. It took me nearly 10 years to get my DX. NO ONE believed me when I journal my food, and 80% of the time it was fantastically healthy and in reasonable portions but I kept gaining weight. I've giving MFP and counting calories ONLY three months to see if I'm making a dent in my…

Mmm.. Panda Express. <3 OP - It sounds like a reasonable meal for the venue, so be proud you got a semi-healthy option. Quit assigning self-esteem to food items. A bad meal =/= a bad day =/= a ruin "diet". There is NO point in starving yourself over 471 calories. Make a better choice for dinner. Drink extra water. Maybe…

Unless there is an underlying condition that is stopping your periods, I would stop the weight loss and see a doctor to evaluate your health and nutritional needs (you might need to go see a nutritionist/dietician). I also agree with Stef's post re: the nerdfitness post.

There will ALWAYS be "off" days. But it is up to YOU to decide how they will affect you. Try pre-logging the day so you know how much almond (apple?) butter you can splurge on in the morning. For the rest of the day, you can lean towards low calorie foods like vegetables. or do a simple chicken stir-fry - which can be…

I'm relatively new to this site and the what the forums advocate. With that said, I think going back to basics and weighing EVERYTHING (except liquids) and using accurate logging (double check everything against the label and if it's label-less, check the USDA database). From what I've read, if you're not losing, you're…

You look AMAZING!!!! Great job!!!!

I think it's more "immature people" hate instead of girl hate. I've been "victim" to some ridiculous incidents - One includes three ADULT men (20-somethings) chucking full soda cups out of a speeding car and pegging me with them as I walked along the sidewalk, drenching me in soda. Oh fun!! I hope when I have children,…

QFT OP - Are you using a food scale? Try weighing everything (except liquids) for a month and see if that makes a difference. I bet it will.

People judge other people no matter WHAT they are doing. I am classified as morbidly obese and for about a year, I asked my husband to do all the grocery shopping because of some of the things people have the audacity to say. And it's not JUST food related. I had a middle-aged woman accost me at the drug store because I…

Have you been taking body measurements? Could you be losing inches, but not lbs?
