It happens. Sucky I know but it does. Its only been one week. There's no need for panic just yet. Most people get stuck at some point. Some stay stuck for weeks then it moves again. The up and down you experienced during the week are normal bodily fluctuations. The fact is that you lost 0.4. Its not much but you did lose.…

when anyone replies to a thread it "bumps" it nearer to the top. So when someone just says "bump" its to stop the thread falling off the end of the page and getting lost

Non Scale Victory. Its not a dumb question. I had to ask too  And that is great progress. Well done. Keep it up :flowerforyou:

I think it was the gym and less calories that made you lose 45lbs in 2 months lovey not the pills. Are you losing weight at the moment? Why don't you try doing what you did before without the pills and see how that goes? If it works, the sense of achievement you will get from it will spur you on. If it doesn't, then look…

Whoever wrote the descriptions is a comedy genius

I remember these. Seriously. My mum had a whole box of these cards. We thought they were the height of haute cuisine. None of the recipies ever got cooked. They were well beyond our means. They were specially designed for housewives who had free range of hubbys wallet and shed loads of time.

Love this. Darling self esteem is the best thing you can have whether you're fat or thin. Telling this guy where to go will stay with you forever. In my young days I had a boyfriend who treated me so bad. He'd dump me and then pick me up again at his whim. I was so in love with him I would fall for it every time. One time…

Denim is a much better indicator of weight loss/gain that scales ever will be.

I got Exerbeat yesterday. It is amazing. 865 calories burned in an hour!!!

LOL yes I know the stuff. Its so disgusting even the bacteria won't eat it   Don't worry about the mold. Like someone else said, if you didn't taste it, you didn't have any or it wasn't enough to bother about.

Doctors really have to get their heads out of their smug a*ses sometimes as well. They tar all overweight people with the same brush. Not everyone is looking for a quick fix and not everyone is lying. I went to see my doc to see if she had any advice about shifting tummy fat. When she realised I WASN'T interested in…

The wii fit is what got me started with the exercise. I still use it now sometimes. I find I can burn around 400 cals in an hour which isn't much compared to the gym. The games are quite fun but can get a bit boring after a while. I've heard the kinnect is great for exercise games

What aa1440 said. Xenical didn't work on me at all. Everyone told me I should start eating vegetables because too much fat will have dire consequences. So I ate a doner kebab to see if it works and nothing happened at all. They work but dumping out excess fat don't they? But if you take them you can't eat a lot of fat…

Yes they are looking for that magical formula that will make them lose weight and not have to work for it. I feel sorry for them in a way because they can't think much of themselves if they're not willing to put the effort in (just my opinion). When they say "oh I can't do that. Its too hard" I say "so is being fat and so…

We need a "like" button. I love this :flowerforyou:

I use this answer all the time. You should see their faces fall with disappointment  What did they expect me to say? That I lost it all by eating toilet paper and dust? There's no quick fix. Its a long arduous journey. But boy its worth it

Personally speaking, I don't think a 12 year old needs to be worrying about calories. Encourage her to eat healthy and be active and that will set her up for life. I was put on my first diet at 5 years old. I learned the calorie content of every food before I knew my times table. I was put on slimming pills at age 11. Did…

LOL I know what you mean. My husband still won't eat mashed potatoe or fish fingers because that's mostly all he got when he was a kid and my mum wouldn't eat chips because that's mostly what she was given. I was a greedy kid and am a greedy adult so, as long as someone cooks it and puts it in front of me, I'll eat it lol…

I would say that counts. Nothing wrong with potatoes and peas. Love 'em especially with a bit of fish  Personally, I won't eat fruit except bananas. Have tried them all and I don't like them enough to bother with them. Fruit will never be as good as chocolate when you want someting sweet

I have to ask as well - and be honest - have you tried all the vegetables and found you don't like them? Or is it ithe thought of them that you don't like? There is no point trying to eat something you really detest but if its a case of not having tried them then you are limiting yourself somewhat and not giving yourself a…

I see that you've already lost over 3lbs. Well done to you. When you eat a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. However, because your diet lacks variety it will get old pretty quick and lead to going off the rails. Also the processed stuff brings its own problems. It will sap your energy and could lead to constipation…

Wow! I have to say I admire your determination to stick with it. I have been travelling up and down the same half stone for over a year now. Friends have said to me that they would have given up by now. But I can't give up because the only alternative is to go back to where I was and that ain't happening. Na uh no way…

There's no need to cut out the diet coke completely. Just don't have so much of it. I have about 2 beakers full a week and it tastes sooooo good. I know people who don't like some veg (have a friend who can't stomach carrots no matter what) but there has to be some you like. It a case of finding out what and how you like…

You sound so much like me its uncanny  I hated all veg. I wouldn't let any of it past my lips. When my husband cooked a roast, he would hide all the nice stuff under the veg so I would have to eat that first. I just pushed it out of the way  Then, as I got serious about losing the weight, I realised that…

Its a normal fluctuation. If you're still up on your usual weigh day you can have a look over the past week and see what, if anything, you could have done better.

Hello :flowerforyou: I had a look at your diary. First of all I'm no expert but I can advise on what has worked for me in the past. Everyone is different I noticed there are a lot of ready meals and fizzy pop in your diet. Although they are calorie counted (ready meals) they are full of salt and stuff that don't really…

That's exactly why I exercise alone. I'm so weak when it comes to exercise that all it would take is someone to say "lets not go tonight" and I'll be agreeing before the sentence was even finished. Also if you go to exercise classes on your own you're more likely to meet new poople than if you go with a friend. I've met…

I couldn't get on with WW at all when I tried it. Done it twice and couldn't lose an ounce. I know lots of people who have lost shed loads with it. I've always been a calorie counter and always will be. Its the only thing that works with me. I done the recipe builder thing and it roughly comes out at 380 cals a portion. I…
