waterproof HRM
Can anyone recommend an HRM/calorie counter I can use for water aerobics? I don't want to spend a fortune. No more than £50. Is there such a thing? Thanks :flowerforyou:

Polar FT4 battery life
Hello, I'm getting a heart rate monitor for Christmas. Choosing the right one has been a nightmare but I think I have settled for the Polar FT4. This is the top range our finances will allow. Does anyone know how long the batteries last in the watch and the chest strap and how easy they are to replace? Thank you…

Osteo-arthritis
Does anyone else have this? I have been diagnosed with it. Its supposed to be mild at the moment but it doesn't feel very mild I can tell you. It bloody hurts. What exercises do you find best? I have been using the recline bike and elliptical at the gym. At home I do Lesley Sansone's Walk away the pounds workouts. I can't…

Onions
If you fry onions in the juice of whatever else you're cooking do you log them as fried onions? Or are they still just onions? Do you just count the cals in the oil? It shouldn't increase the calorie count just because the oil is now in the onion. Does it? Does any of this makes any sense at all?

71lbs lost - Am halfway there
Although I've lost 71lb (5 stone) I can't really see the difference when I look in the mirror. I still have a long way to go. I see other people's pictures after they have lost this much and I think "why don't I look that different?" To me I look just the same. Then, yesterday, I was looking through old pictures on…

please help me cook something nice
I have fish (can't decided whether to use river cobbler or salmon), cream cheese, mushrooms, shallots, lemon, lime and dill. Is there anything gorgeously tasty I can make with any or all of those things. Basic instructions only please. I only just about know how to turn the oven on  Thanks :flowerforyou:

Can anyone convert WW points into calories?
I've found this ultra yummy sounding recipe for stuffed butternut squash. It's 5 WW pro points per serving. Does anyone know what that would be in calories? Thanks

Calories burned from strength exercises
I was just wondering why MFP doesn't count the calories burned from doing strength exercises in the daily total? Is it because the cardio calories burn the fat? I often burn 200 cals (according to the gym machines) and sometimes I could really do with them being put on my daily total Thanks

Doctors - can they help?
Does anyone else find they have to fight constantly with doctors and their, often wrong and outdated, advice? Do you find you get pidgeonholed as "just another fat person whinging"? I went to my doctor because I had been on my plateau for far too long and wanted to know if there was any way I could shift my belly fat…

I have always tracked my food and exercise etc and I'm finding this really useful. I've lost 5 stone over a 3-4 year period. I still have a long way to go but I'm determined to get…
