Polar FT4 battery life

Hello,
I'm getting a heart rate monitor for Christmas. Choosing the right one has been a nightmare but I think I have settled for the Polar FT4. This is the top range our finances will allow.
Does anyone know how long the batteries last in the watch and the chest strap and how easy they are to replace?

    I am not sure on the battery life, but I got mine last week and I LOVE IT. I got the FT4 and the chest strap is the most comfortable one I have ever used.

    I read I believe they last over a year or so. I have the Polar FT7 though and have worked out 5-6 days a week every week since I got it last January. I still haven't had to replace the battery. For my model it looks pretty easy to replace :)
