I have fish (can't decided whether to use river cobbler or salmon), cream cheese, mushrooms, shallots, lemon, lime and dill. Is there anything gorgeously tasty I can make with any or all of those things.

Basic instructions only please. I only just about know how to turn the oven on

Thanks :flowerforyou:

Heat up a pan with some olive oil in it and put the mushrooms in it... get them going nice so they get a little brown on them.

Meanwhile, add a touch of milk to that cream cheese and stir it up so it is the consistency of mayonnaise. Throw that dill in there and some lime or lemon zest (the skin of the fruit removed with a grater).

By the time that is done, the mushrooms should be cooked, set them aside and put the fish in the pan... while the fish is cooking squeeze the lemon and reserve the juice. (flip the fish, depending on how thick it is when it looks sort of cooked on one side...) add a little water or if you have some chicken or vegetable broth or wine (?) to the juice. When the fish looks cooked on side two, take it out of the pan, put the mushrooms back in and add the juice. It should quickly sizzle... put the fish on your plate, pour that sizzly sauce with the mushrooms over and throw a spoon of that dilly cheese to the side. MMMM I am hungry now.
  • That does sound delicious. If I'm feeling adventurous later I might try that
    Thank you so much :flowerforyou:
  • Hubby has read the instructions and he thinks it will be easy to do so I'm going for it.
    Wish me luck
  • I cooked it and I ate it and it was simply divine. Thank you so much :flowerforyou:
