Is it basing the calories on weight? Because, I'm guessing, that a hard boiled egg will weigh more than an unboiled one. Or you could have found an inaccurate entry. I have boiled eggs every morning and they certainly don't contain 200 cals each. 100 I can accept but not 200. Oh and 70 cals for an egg are the small ones. A…

I quit (again) using Champix (Chantix in the US I think) Tomorrow will be my first day without the cigs and I'm really looking forward to it. The last time I quit I didn't think I felt any better but my husband always said that I wouldn't be able to do as much exercise as I do if I was still smoking. I didn't believe him.…

I didn't think I felt better last time I quit. It was only when I started again that I realised I had.

Tomorrow is my last day as a smoker. As I've been using Champix, the need for a cigarette has been decling so I'm only having about 3 a day. I went to the gym twice over the weekend and I felt great. I didn't stumble out of there huffing and puffing and wishing something heavy would fall on me to put me out of my misery. I…

That's so great. What a brilliant feeling that must have been. Well done xx

Nearly all of it

Thank goodness I'm not the only one. No-one can believe that I don't like strawberries. But the fact is, strawberries are not strawberry flavoured like, say, milkshakes or strawberry sweets. The real thing is so disappointing.

That is absolutely amazing. You are an inspiration. Well done

That Joanne Bloggs - that's me that is

My mum always told me that you should ALWAYS accept a compliment with good grace. Smile and say "thank you" even if you think they are crazy. Not accepting the compliment is like throwing it back at them. People don't compliment you unless they mean it. If you throw it back at the person, they'll be less likely to do it…

Ok so make that your first target. Aim to get back to where you were before your "slip". Then you can go on from there. Take little steps. They are easier to get to. Good luck x

At the moment you have maintained for 2 weeks. If you fall off the wagon and quit you will GAIN. You will undo all the good work you have already done and you will hate yourself again. When you look at the alternative, being on the wagon seems like a good place to be. So take my hand, step up and take a seat  xx

I buy the chocolate that comes individually wrapped or buttons and freeze them. It gives you a lovely chocolate hit that lasts for ages. 40 calories to quell a craving is well worth it. x

That's fantastic. Well done. Don't be disheartened if the scales don't show a huge loss next week though. Any loss is a good loss. Keep up the good work x
-
I'll do it. Do you need my email address? x

I quit for about a year and then took it up again. I didn't think I felt any better not smoking until I started again. It definately does impede the workouts. I'm in the process of quitting again. I use Champix. It works like a charm. This time next week I will be a non smoker again.

That is awesome. What a wonderful feeling that must be. I can't wait till i can wear normal towels. Well done you. I have, for the first time in over 10 years, just bought tights from a supermarket and they fit!!!!

I take a salad to work. Every Sunday I make up a huge tub of it and every morning I spoon some into a smaller tub adding some tuna or salmon and anchovies. I don't have access to a microwave at work and don't have time in the evenings or morning to do anything special. This works fine for me x

My husband eats once a day - his main meal at about 9 - 9.30 at night. He has never had a weight problem. He says that whether you eat 3 meals a day or 5 or 1, you should only eat when you're hungry and not when the clock tells you to. If you want breakfast, eat breakfast. If you're not hungry at 12 or 1 don't have lunch.…

I think I look like a mozzerella cheese on stilts. 2½ - 3 inches is the limit

I am so so proud of you. I love you xxx

I'm the laziest person on the planet. I hate exercising with a passion. I resent every second it takes me away from my bed/sofa/hobbies. I just get on with it. If I think about it for more than a second, I start making excuses for not doing it. I get in from work, put my gym gear on and am out the door again before gravity…

I would like to know that too. I would love to go horse riding but at 17 stone I feel it would be cruel.

OOh no stinky people at the gym are horrible. There is no excuse for it. When I go first thing in the morning, I don't shower beforehand but I do baby wipe my important places and put on deodorant and body spray. I would hate to smell bad at any time.
-
I would have said "yes I do that's why I'm coming to your stall" Who am I kidding? I would have taken me at least 5 hours to come up with that one lol
-
That is fantastic. You should be really proud of yourself xxxx

No pain should be exercised. Have a rest today and do some more tomorrow

I used to blissfully work my way through a pot of taramasalata on a Friday night as part of my treat. Dipping my fries in it. Oh it was yummy. One day I flipped it over and had a look at the calories....... 1585 for 200g!!!!! I nearly fell backward into the shopping trolley and I haven't touched it since.

I read somewhere once that after an hour of cardio your body reaches maximum burn and anything after that isn't really doing much. I have no idea where I read it or if its true but I'm hoping it is because I'm lazy

Its damn hard but you do get used to it. Before I started dieting, I wouldn't eat any kind of vegetable and I wouldn't dream of eating salad  But I soon realised that to get to where I wanted to be, I would have to suck it up and get used to it. Now I love them. I have vegetables and salad every day and I really…
