If anyone is on Facebook, I'm in an awesome fitness/motivation group on there! Everyone is super supportive and encouraging! There are daily motivational posts and sometimes weekly workout and/or healthy eating "challenges". We'd love to have you join us (it's completely free). If you're interested, just send me a friend…

I have (and LOVE) Polar FT7! Use it allll the time, for everything (even cleaning). Calorie count is far more accurate than the generalized calories that MFP lists.

I'm also 5' 7"! I post "progress pics" on my Instagram (user name: _shoe_girl_ ), but I started at 156, and I'm currently at 145. I had previously been up to 166, but went down to 143, then got lazy and that's when I got back up to 156.

I've been using the Polar FT7 for about a month, and I LOVE it!

I just "found" Naked's Green Machine and I love it! I HATE, hate, hate fruits and veggies, but this is a great way to get some "healthy" into my diet! I know people down them for too much sugar, but as someone who is far from a clean eater, I don't care about the sugar content. I haven't tried Bolthouse yet, as I just came…

Just checked it out (I left a comment, too)! I like it! I have one also.... http://bodybypinterest.blogspot.com/ :flowerforyou:

I'm on IG, but..... it isn't exactly fitness/health related content. :/ I have a couple fitness pics, but they're def not the majority. @_shoe_girl_

Quick, easy breakfast sandwich: 1 Thomas' Bagel Thin (100cal's), 1/4 c egg whites, & 1 slice 2% cheese = 180 yummy cal's!

Welcome! Everyone is really nice! :)

I know most people swear by a HRM, however, I bought one & found it to be a waste of money.....it said 150 cal's burned after an HOUR of moderate cardio. I returned it, got my money back, & just use my best guess on my activities now. I've dropped 10+ lbs, so I think cal counters are fairly accurate. A Zumba calorie…

I don't know what my goal is......I'm 5'7", and used to weigh 130.....and was REALLY SKINNY. Like TOO skinny. I think I'll be happy in another 5-6 lbs (145lbs-ish).

A coach sent me 3 samples (2 choc, 1 greenberry). I thought that the choc was nasty......BUT that was trying one of the recipes they give with it (the mocha one). I don't dare try greenberry.

Well if you are on here taking the time to log everything else, why NOT log them in? Seems kinda silly not to.

My BMI said I was obese until a week or so ago, and I'm a size 8 (5' 7"). I hardly consider a size 8 obese, when I'm tall (for a girl). Hubby's says obese, & he is FAR from it. I think the guidelines are on the ridiculous side, but that's me.
-
I bought a HRM, too.....did an HOUR of cardio....and not light effort! It said I burned 157 cal's! I boxed it up & returned it. And, Zumba is from 500-1000 cals an hour depending on effort (my friend is an instructor & she told me this). I'd say your HRM is definitely wrong, too.

it should say on the box. If not, http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--167/pasta-nutritional-facts.asp (or you can google "nutritional value, cooked pasta").

Sounds PERFECT! :) I just bought a HRM/Pedometer. Soon as I figure it out, I'm headed to the gym, & I'll wear it to work tomorrow as well! Thanks for the Livestrong tip!
-
I'm not sure on that one, as I work every other weekend, so MOST days the "lifestyle setting" would be different than my work days..
-
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
LOL! If you find "the best one", please do share! ;) I've had 2 kids, too, & the "pooch" seems to want to stay.
-
I totally feel you on this! I'd been doing VERY well lately.......yesterday we went out to eat.....I was 434 over for the day  Just gotta *try* to focus on TODAY instead! Watch your cal's & get in some exercise (I'll be doing the same!)
-
I *THINK* the machines, in general tend to be on the higher side. Go w/the HRM! :)

Buy some Thomas' Bagel thins (aprox. $2-3 depending on the store, in my area), a package of 2% cheese slices (aprox. $3-4), & a dozen eggs (aprox. 2-3). One bagel thin, one egg, & one slice of cheese = a very filling 185 cals!

Someone just told me what "bump" means! LOL! THANKS! :)
-
Ohhhhhh! Thanks! Makes lotsa sense now!
-
I heard someone saying "Couch to 5K" works really well.
-
Wendy~AWESOME! I didn't even think of that~ I LOVE bacon!
-
Ok, WTH is "bump"? Are you being rude, or am I missing some code word? :ohwell:
-
WOW! Way to go!

I LOOOOVE breakfast sandwiches! I didn't want to give them up, so I made a VERY low cal version, & its filling! 1 Thomas' Bagel Thin (110 cals), toasted 1/4 cup liquid egg whites (30 cal's), scrambled in bowl/microwaved. 1 slice Kraft 2% White American cheese (45 cal's) 185 calories total!
