Thanks for all the ideas, I will be giving a few of these a try I believe.

Put them in a bowl filled with lukewarm water and let water slowly flow into the bowl while the bowl is overflowing into the sink. Should take about 15-20 minute to thaw.

Agree with others, log everything. If not, you're only cheating yourself. Also, don't be afraid to fail. It's going to happen, we're human. Just don't make failing a habit. I allow myself one cheat meal a week, but even on my "cheat" meal I now make healthier choices. Always plan out what you will, if you have a plan, you…

I already know what type of shoes. I like the Brooks Glycerine line. I had the 9's, looking forward to owning the 10's now.

Totally agree with ^this. I hate the chalk guys... Also, one more- there is one guy who does really odd exercises like running on a treadmill sideways and backwards, karate kicks in front of the dumbbell mirror, the other day he took the entire functional fitness area "wrestling" a fitness ball. Doesn't normally bother me,…

Use a netti pot. Looks weird and a bit traumatizing, but nothing works better to clear the nose out.

I used to have preloaded playlists, but now I just listen to different pandora stations on my phone while running. I enjoy the disturbed and breaking benjamin stations. Tried metallica, but there's too many old school bands on there for me to get into.

C25K is great, got me running. I never ran except for football, and I hated it then. Now I love it and just finished my first 5k not too long ago. I am an early morning runner so I have no excuses late in the day, but there are times when I don't feel like it, and if that is so, I just play this and I'm out the door...…

I do cardio first thing in the morning so I don't usually eat, unless I'm going for a longer run, then I may have a half of a banana and sometimes I'll have a piece of whole wheat toast with a tablespoon of smucker's natural peanut butter and half a banana before I go for weights.

I do early morning cardio so I won't have an excuse not to go, plus I feel so much better the rest of the day after I finish. The way I feel after I have pushed my body to its limits cannot be put into words. Plus, I put the tv in the gym on Insanity or P90X infomercials so I feel as if I am competing against the people on…

If I'm doing cardio or circuit training, I'm good because it relaxes me once I'm done. If I'm doing heavy heavy lifting, its best not to approach me or get in my way because I have to be so amped up, angry and focused to lift heavy that I would tend to explode on someone, but once I'm done I'm spent and I have released all…

http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/audio_headphones/in_ear_headphones/index.jsp These are a bit pricey, but hands down the best sounding earbuds that don't fall out of my ears. I used to have that same issue, even with the ones that had the hook that goes over your ear, but no more. My only…

I've been looking for new workout music as well. My workouts are usually better when I'm enjoying my workout playlist. I usually listen to the heavier stuff. Just downloaded some new songs last night: Godsmack-Rocky mountain way Chevelle-Face to the floor Linkin Park-Burn it down Other favorites are: Stinkfist-Tool Awake…

I run on the treadmill all the time, where I live there is not an area that is conducive to outside running. One of my friends is a personal trainer, he said that putting the treadmill at a 2% incline best simulates running outside. He also said that treadmills are good for new runners because it helps pace so that you…

I don't do it at home, but one could do it at home. I use a kettlebell and I do a circuit of four exercises: kettlebell snatch, windmill, squat and overhead press. I do these as a circuit/ladder. Start with one rep of each exercise, then move to 2 reps per exercise, then 3 etc.... all the way to five reps each using the…

I used to go to a gym who was a quarter squatter and he would scream like he was sqautting a dump truck....or constipated. He also wore a mouth guard(yeah he was that intense). I had the same thought as you, lighten the load and perfect your form, it'l be far better for you.

It becomes a habit after a while. When I first started morning workouts, I hated it, but the more consistent I was at it, the better I got. Now I don't feel fully awake for hours if I don't exercise first thing in the morning. I do it early because I know that I would make excuses for not running if I didn't. Also, I take…

I would say if you're new to exercise, don't start off running...too many injuries can happen. I did the elliptical and circuit trained for the first 6 months before I stepped foot onto a treadmill, and actually started running by accident. All elipticals were down for maintenance for a few days so I started running and…

Running outdoors is definitely more physically demanding with hills, wind resistance, etc... But you can simulate to some degree outdoors running by raising the incline on the treadmill to 1%. Read this on a RW message board and tried it out. Seems to help.

Tape does help, just make sure to use the pre wrap, otherwise you're in for a misreable time. Also, have you tried yoga? There are few poses out there that help strengthen ankles. My left ankle is terrible and doing the yoga for about 3 weeks now has already made a difference, with less pain and more flexibility. I use my…

I like the heavier stuff when I run. My playlist change constantly because I get bored. Here it is right now: Moon Baby- Godsmack Cochise- Audioslave Clincher- Chevelle End of Heartache- Killswitch Engage Welcome Home- Coheed and Cambria Awake and Alive- Skillet I Will Not Bow- Breaking Benjamin Happy- Mudvayne My Last…

Did grandma fart bubbles? That would've been a hit at family get togethers...

I always try to stick with the iced drinks, they tend to be lower in calories. With that said, my go to order is a venti, nonfat, no whip mocha and when I'm really sleepy, I add a shot. Its only 250 calories, so I don't feel so bad.

I eat one whole egg and egg white from the carton (because it feels like I'm wasting something by throwing the yolk away) to make an omelet in the morning. Then I will have 2 hard boiled eggs sprinkled with kosher salt a few hours later. By mixing the eggs in the morning, I save the calories and the yolks. Just my routine.
