Well done you! :) I'm hoping to do a 10K in July. I only started running a few weeks ago!

Have you tried Runkeeper? If you have a phone with GPS it will track where you go & how fast you go & if you put your weight in it will tell you how many calories you burned & you can put it in on here... http://runkeeper.com

Well done for giving up! I gave up 10 weeks ago (apart from one cigarette that I had on a night out 3&1/2 weeks ago - but I haven't had one since!) Ayway, I nearly went stir-crazy in the first week of quitting! My advice to anyone thinking of quitting is to give up when you a coupe of days where you don't have anything too…

I joined quite a while ago but didn't come on here for ages & I've come back to try to lose weight again (mainly, hopefully, through exercise!) I gave up smoking about 10 weeks ago & have put on some extra weight soI have even more reason to try to keep fit!

I'm 5'8" & currently weigh 190lb. I weighed as little as 9&1/2 stone (133lb) back in 2002 but I think that was underweight for my height. Somewhere in between would be nice, say 161lbs (11 & 1/2 stone) I think. Does that sound about right?

Ok well I set my goal to lose 2lb per week so 3lb per month is lower than what I was hoping for but thanks for answering my question about my BMR. I guess MFP works out the best type of plan - if I aim for 1,200 net calories overall each day then this is about right then. Thanks also for your answer re: 1,200 average over…
