Good luck! It's going to take some hard work (but you already knew that) . You can do it!!

I think the only problem is how you react if the number changes drastically. As long as you're not going to think you've earned a "binge day" if the number goes down a lot or that you should quit the diet because it's not working if the number goes up - then you're OK. I guess the message is that you can monitor daily, but…

I do weigh myself every morning and I normally record it in MFP too. If you do a daily weigh-in, you need to be able to take the rough with the smooth (for example I gained 4 pounds on Saturday - but it's gone again already). For me it's just a matter of routine. If I do it every day I'm less likely to forget.

I agree!

Thanks! Seems more like a warning against foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup than against eating fruit. "Current health guidelines suggest that limiting processed carbohydrates, many of which contain high-fructose corn syrup, may help prevent weight gain, and the new data on fructose clearly support this recommendation."…

Where did you hear this? I can't find any fruit (other than watermelon) which is listed as a "high" glycemic index food. Even then, watermelon has a low glycemic load.

I noticed that I was going over on my daily sugar allowance too, but that it was almost all from the fresh fruit that I was eating. I don't worry about that sugar any more. In fact I changed my setup so that I track sodium and fibre rather than sugar and cholesterol. As long as you're eating fresh fruit and 6 oz or so of…

Each tenth (0.1) of a pound is a little over one and a half ounces (1.6 ounces to be exact). So, to weigh 129 from 130.4 you need to lose 1.4 pounds which is about 1 pound 6 ounces. Personally, when I record my weight, I round up or down to the nearest pound.

You look great!! Good on ya!

When I add things that have zero calories (like Diet Pepsi or a cup of green tea) to my food log...... :drinker:

Congratulations!!!

You have my sympathy. I always seem to get constipated when I start a diet. My advice : 1) Drink LOTS of water. 2) Try a soluble fiber supplement (I use Citrucel). 3) Try to go for a walk after you eat. Lastly, and this is just a personal thing that may not work for you, I eat a couple of handfuls or raw almonds every day.…

Try this : http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy-Baked-Tilapia/Detail.aspx You could substitute a tablespoon (or two) of olive oil for the butter. Enjoy!

Celery, snap peas, and cherry tomatoes are some of my favorites.

Thanks guys! I'm back and, despite eating and drinking more than I should've, I lost a pound. So, now it's back to MFP every day.
