Guys, I am 52 years old and MFP makes this sooo much easier that it was in the old days - using calorie books, etc.- that I will gladly record my meals for the rest of my life if is makes me healthier and more attractive. I love MFP!

I'm not sure how others feel about this, but sometimes when I have splurged on a day (Halloween for instance), I go into the "future" food diaries for that week and break up the extra calories into 100 calorie (or so) bits and log them in the snack section for however many days of calories I overate . I can feed my family one nice chicken dinner, I can make chicken salads for myself for the rest of the week, I can make a pot of soup with the carcass, and my dog gets the skin that I peeled off before I served the chicken dinner. What's not to like?

How are you figuring out your average calories per day? I see the bar graph that gives the calories per day on an individual day basis, but I have not figured out how to get the average per day figure for a week, month, etc. from the MFP data. Help?

I've pretty much given up on hamburger buns. Most of the sandwichy things that I previously ate, I now make into salads. (At least at home.)

I'd lose the idea of weighing in for a while and just concentrate on your calorie goal. Go see your scale in about a month.
