beware the friend collectors...
I never understood this...the longer I've been on here, the more of this I've seen. If you don't want to connect or learn from the person you're friending why do it? Is there a prize for the most friends? LOL

This is what I thought also..If I weigh a piece of Salmon and it was 6 ounces raw, but after cooking it went down to 4, still log it as 6 is what I see a lot of consensus on. And hey, you can troll and inform also...keeps it fresh and fun...LOL.

This...nice ba-donk-a-donk...LOL

I had no idea measuring entailed so much. I feel incorporating this measuring into my dirt will assist me in dropping more weight and ensuring I'm a bit more thorough in my logging.

I've learned a lot from this! Thanks to all of you who took the time to respond!! Any other feedback is welcomed....

This makes sense also. Is there anything you guys weigh besides meat? I know measuring cups can cover quite a bit, but I saw one person say condiments, I never thought of that.

I agree....you see all ages, colors, shapes and sizes at the gym. They all let you tour their facilities, so you can feel free to see what each offers. So go, it will become habit and before you know it, you'll be a sweat-filled, iPod wearing machine like the rest of us!! C'mon!!!

^^^^This helps a lot!! Great info.

What'd I do...LOL
-
Tha This looks cool...thanks for sharing.
-
I wondered this also, because the meat shrivels up after its prepared.
-
I see what you did there....LOL

Thanks Susan..No, I was just talking about some frozen chicken breast from anywhere, and really any type of food that's typically measured..is grams the standard for measuring?
-
I never said I didn't want to weigh food, I just never have. I was inquiring if people noticed a difference between weighing their food versus the nutritional info listed on packages.
-
That's a great idea! What type of scale do you use?

Any sporting good store has a variety of gloves that you can try on to gauge comfort. Some use gloves, some don't...that's their preference, if you can't work through the discomfort, then get gloves. I use a standard glove that I could find at any Academy or Sports Authority.

Never quite seen a post like this. My advice it to just go...consistency breeds habit. But if the gym scene is not for you, there are plenty of things you can implement at home. Look into those to see if that's a better fit.

Don't make the same mistake that I did. I failed to log sweat a year ago and my body has been in starvation mode ever since.
-
This info isn't just for newbies.....I am trying to revamp my diet as I lose weight and I have been going back and forth on various information. You always hear...STEP 1-Fix your diet. Thanks for showing what some of that looks like!

LOLOL!! Tons of good stuff in here!

^^^This! Sounds like your friend has done a great job taking control of her life and getting things on track. Working out 2 hours a day doesn't mean you're living in a cave, I'm sure most of us have this type of regimen. She had popcorn as a cheat meal "this week"...that doesnt mean all the time, I'm sure she switches it…

^^^This...I've lost quite a bit, but I haven't hit that number once...ah well.

First Manti Te'o....now this What's the deal fellas?!

Most sensible thing I have read all day! Thanks for sharing!

I knew I had a kindred spirit on this site...LOL :drinker:

Squat rack?!

Not trying to defend the guys comment, but at least he was honest. It may not be what you want to hear, but you have to face the fact that he is not ready to be a "one woman man." I say move on and consider yourself lucky!

We all wouldn't be here unless somebody filled some holes. Circle of Life I spose....:smokin:

I feel like this also....I agree with what others are saying, but also make sure you aren't overtraining. When I end up going to the gym on a "rest day" and run, I am super wiped. Also, make sure you are getting enough sleep at night.
