This!! (although I am am somewhat worried with our current roster- looks more like a DL list sometimes). Go Yankees!!!

What he said. I have done P90x three times over the last several years and always have weight fluctuations like that. Don't panic. It will all work out in the end. And above all, remember that weight is irrelevant- it is just a number. Focus on how good you feel by being in shape. BF% is a far better target than weight,…

I second (or third) both the 'negatives' approach or assisted ones. I have a pull-up bar at home and I keep a chair near-by. I set a goal of how many I want to do and then do as many as I can without help. Once I can't get my chin over the bar I place a foot on the chair and use my leg muscles to help. No reason you can't…

Go 'Boys!!!

Well, three weeks post-op and it seems to be healing nicely. Just started PT, slow but don't wnat to rush it and delay my recovery due to re-injury. Hope to be back in reasonable condition by Labor Day. Figure it will take at least that long to rebuild my atrophied quads! Seems as stable as it was pre-injury so I am very…

Well I decided to go ahead with surgery. I will update this as I recover and try to regain my previous level of fitness. Watching my wife complete a Warrior Run this past weekend filled me with both pride (for her- awesome job) and jealousy (because I really wanted to be out there with her)!!

no one? guess I am the only one... :(

Unfortunately these people do not follow the same logic that we do. Not trying to paint all Muslims with the same brush but their religion is not isolated to theological beliefs. It spans their whole lives; political, legal, financial and economic. To many followers it represents the absolute opposition of other faiths.…

This- no need for a flu shot unless you are in a risk category, i.e. very young, elderly, weak immune system, etc.

Well said X2

I was in the Army at home on leave while recovering from a knee surgery. I ended up going into "work" that day. Last night my wife and I were thinking of all of the significant events we could remember in our life-times that shared the same media response. President Reagan's assination attempt, the loss of the space…

Please share this if you can. I am always looking for an option to tailoring. Thanks!
-
I have to get my dress shirts tailored if I want them to fit. 44" chest, 17" neck, 33" waist. If I buy them big enough to button the neck for a tie then they are huge everywhere else - even the athletic "slim" cut ones. I sometimes buy the smaller neck ones knowing I will never wear a tie with them. Suits are worse!

LMAO- if you trusted him you wouldn't be searching through his closet for stuff!

So many classics- Predator, Running Man, Lethal Weapon, Cherry 2000, Surf Nazis Must Die... oh 1987 was a great, great year!!! lmao

Apparently I am a real geek because in an attempt to convert this I quickly recognized that you are 3 bits short. I guess that is the binary example of poor grammar?

Couldn't agree more! Too many politicians with a short-sighted approach to running this country. Let's give everyone stuff for free (healthcare, etc). Wait, who will pay for it? Oh, lets just take money from the wealthier ones to pay for it. Why should they care, they have enough money anyways. That cripples the long-term…

So we all agree that this is a dumb idea right? (Just trying to keep things light with a bit of humor)

Maybe if you look at it like this, it will make more sense. Lets assume the top 10% of the driving population are wealthy. In order for your deterent idea to work, that 10% population would have to account for significantly more than 10% of the total speeding violations to really have an impact on reducing the number of…

Have you ever sat in the same court room and listened to the number of people that had their licenses suspended because they failed to pay a fine? You are making the assumption that poor people never speed because they can't afford the fine but that is just not the case. The fine is not a deterent for all of the poor…

Actually it started long before Reagan and the fact that previous administrations had issues in no way offsets the fact that we are currently saddled with what will be possibly be the worst US president ever.
-
Or dumb would be not understanding that the application of this proposal to other expenses clearly illustrates how without merit this idea is. And nowhere in any post in this thread did I or any other poster state that Wall Street did not do anything wrong. Why would you even bring that up in a post that had nothing to do…

HAHA- my daughter is about 5ft- she says "I'm not short, I'm FUN SIZE". Glad she embraced it early.

Couldn't agree more! That concept is an over-simplification and a mis-use of statistics. Not only is new wealth created, but it is also redistributed based upon new ideas, creativity and hard-work. It requires people to take acceptable risks and try to "make it". Consider this: You don't see very many wealthy people buying…

Completely agree. I grew up on a small farm in Upstate NY. I joined the Army to pay for college. I worked many jobs including pouring concrete along the way to get my education. Now I have a great position in a very large company that pays me a very nice salary. Am I rich- no, do I live comfortably- absolutely. That…

One of the dumbest things I have seen on MFP. Why stop at speeding tickets? Let's impose these income-based penalties for everything. Oh, you make $200,000/yr, that Happy Meal will cost you $30. Oh, you only make $40,000/yr? That's gonna be $7.95. When are the people of this great country going to realize that we are great…
