Unfortunately some of the women in this thread have no chance of finding a real gentleman because they instantly resort to insane behavior- i.e. violence, dumping him because he didn't phrase something in the best manner, etc.

You all did READ the original post where it says "...or would you feel that is a good heads up cause its not something you would normally get particularly dressed up and made up to attend". I bet if the guy didn't say anything and you didn't dress up, saw his ex looking less-than-your-best, you would all be pissed at the…

After reading this thread i simply want to thank you MFP for making me love my wife and for helping me realize that I got one of the more sane ones! LMAO BTW- 'Ovaries in a knot' - f'n classic!!!

Only fake on the inside... [wife hates it when I say that]. Seriously though, nice to look at I guess, but as the significant other, I wouldn't want the maintenance headache to go with them, i.e. long-term, repeatitive surguries to keep them "fresh".

"My Bad" is definately on the top of my list. Whenever I hear it I think "So this individual is acknowledging that they did something wrong but doesn't have the common courtesy to actually apologize for it." Makes me want to "accidentally" slap them silly [or sillier as appropriate] and proudly state "My bad". "We are…

You guys are animals! Just finished a round of P90x and snuck in some insanity for doubles. Shaun T def can bring it. Just started P90x2. Will probably do a round of insanity when I'm done. Good luck to everyone, that program is no joke.

Sorry, can't help with the dating. Looks like you are kind of crossed up in your avatar though. Try dropping your chin down over your inside hand more, it will help you open your hips up so you can shift more weight off the bike! LMAO sry- only track folks will get this!

To be honest, I don't mind that my wife doesn't want to work out with me. She has a great time with her friends doing kick boxing, running etc. I think it is great- she gets some quality time where she can focus on exercising, not me, the kids or anything else going on. When I exercise, I know I enjoy the alone time- it…

I think everyone agrees, its not the pizza, its the portions that cause the problems! Oh, and potentially high sodium content (cheese, meat, sauce & crust)
-
Wow- that is simply awesome. You have every right to be proud of yourself!!!! Great job becoming "normal" lol

Asparagus and brocolli. I have found it to be a texture thing. The rawer (less cooked) the better, especially brocolli- I prefer it raw. Actually, now that I think of it, I like all veggies better raw (except corn and potatoes). Still working on sweet potatoes. Like them as fries, which is a start, I guess!

^^^^^ This and P90x2 and Insanity... (Also have a Smith machine to suppliment strength moves)

Didn't get it at first but then I took a BREAK and it came to me!! Nice!

Fortunately he isn't my "type" so we get along just fine! LOL Insanity def lives up to its name, though. Hard to find a better home cardio workout than that. Even the "recovery day" DVD gets your heart rate up!
-
that's hardcore! I usually do it at night but this morning got up early and threw in the P90x Kenpo DVD for a change. I will workout tonight during my "regular" time. Couldn't imagine Insanity that early! LOL

Good for you. I personally think if more people thought of the word 'diet' as a noun instead of a verb there would be a lot more healthy people out there. As in "I watch my diet" = lifestyle vs. "I am dieting" = single event, may or may not work, back to old ways within a month after stopping.

I have two weeks left of regular P90x, although I have been doing the occasional double with Insanity when I had the time and energy. My wife bought me P90x2 for Valentine's Day (awesome way to say I love you, right?!? haha). Plan to jump into it right after I am done. Not sure after what I've read if there is a good…

Great to hear. I have two weeks left of P90x and plan on jumping into P90x2 right after. I haven't been following a "formal" hybrid with insanity, just sticking them in when I had some extra energy or time. Works awesome!

Here is my take on "Eating back workout calories" Someone may have a more detailled one, but I look at it like this. Let's say you need 2000cal per day to maintain your weight. If you eat less, let's say 1500cal per day, that adds up to 3500cal per week that you "under-ate". That equates to a pound per week of weight loss…

My friend says the one from Beachbody with the videos for $4.99 isn't worth it. The FT90 CE app is ok for P90x but doesn't have other workouts. The FT90 app (if you can find it) has P90x and Insanity. I have an Android and use 90Droid and it is pretty good but wished it listed individual moves for Plyo X and Insanity DVDs.…

Given that you just started exercising again regularly, I would go with water retention. This happens not only because of high sodium levels, but also as your body is trying to repair the damage to the muscle fibers caused during exercise. Drink your water, cut out sodium and eat more. You want as much lean muscle as…

Awesome job. That is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. I bet now you are super-motivated to lose more and get to your second goal! Go get 'em!!

Biggest thing is to stick with it! The first week is the hardest. You will be sore and tired. Don't quit!! Next week will be easier, and the third even easier. Then its a recovery week! 1/3 done. Remember that most people quit before or at the 30 day mark. Promise yourself you won't be that person! If you eat right and…

Great job! love to see results from a fellow P90x'er! Keep going!!

last night - 1:30 min P90x Yoga X & 40 min Insanity Plyometric Cardio tonight - P90x Legs & Back DVD and whatever else seems like fun
-
Yup- calorie reduction and exercise.
-
I am the same way about yoga. To be honest, the only DVD I have looked at from P90x2 was the yoga because I substituted it for the 1:30 P90x one- wanted to workout but just couldn't bring myself to spending that much time "standing still". I def liked the faster pace of Yoga2.

Had this exact same conversation with one of my workout buddies at lunch. We finally settled on the following. We like working out and compare ourselves to "fit" people. Our friends and family compare us to people they are surrounded with daily. When I look in the mirror I am thinking - damn long way to go before I look…

It is really hard to say. As your fitness level increases, so does the amount of effort you can put into the movements. I have seen it listed anywhere from 600-1000 for plyo, 400-600 for cardio and strength workouts. Again, if you are able to "bring it" for the full video on plyo you will see a higher number (so be sure to…
