I think we're related!

I think MFP overestimates calories burned, so I'd only eat back half of those calories.
-
Maybe switch from 3 meals to 5 snacks?
-
Aww!!! Eating healthy is expensive, unfortunately. Is there any way to reduce your other expenses? I'm not sure what country you are in, but could you cut your television bill? Phones? Entertainment? It's hard, I know. You say meat and potato, would he switch to sweet potatoes? Can you change your bread and pasta to whole…

Off topic - Sorry! Just a side note - check your make up and lotion and stuff for gluten. I don't know if you have skin redness/rash type stuff, but gluten is a common binding agent used in make ups and lotion. They are still researching if gluten on the skin has the same effect as when consumed, and there is no conclusive…

I've wondered about that too! I break it out, just to be sure. I log however many minutes of "stretching" and the rest as the exercise (circuit training, kick boxing, etc.).
-
I log my exercise minutes accurately, but I know that MFP over estimates the calorie burn. IF I eat back my exercise calories, I only eat back half of them. That has worked for me. You'd need a heart rate monitor to find out your accurate calories burned. I think a lot of people use a fit bit.

I read somewhere (but can't find it) that this was Jackie Kennedy Onasis' way of maintaining her figure. She said something like, eat everything on your plate, but only eat half of it. I also read the success story of a woman in a magazine, and her advice was similar. I try to follow that whenever I'm at a restaurant. At…

I adjust mine every ten pounds, but I'm close to my recommended body weight.

Use cucumber slices instead of pita - it's delicious!!!

Didn't Applebee's get busted for this? They were posting weight watchers points or calories on the menu, but the restaurants were actually serving larger portions. I can't remember where I saw or read that. It makes sense though. I imagine they can pre-weigh and measure some things, but other things - especially on a busy…

It makes a big difference!!! I'm having to change my friends and my hangouts, but seeing the scale move has made it totally worth it.
-
It's about lifestyle changes. Don't waste your time on any "plan" that you won''t be able to stick to long term.

I'm not an expert, but my mom's side of the family has it. I get tested every 6 months. You get a blood test after a 12 hour water only fast.
-
I bring apples, protein or granola bars, and a peanut butter and jelly (sugar free) sandwich (wheat bread). Lots of water too.

Oh my gosh! I so empathize. On mother's day, my husband took me to breakfast. I was wearing my spanx and the server still asked me if I was expecting. I was so embarrassed that I just told her yes. Then, on Saturday, a group of my friends went out to meet up with a couple who had moved away but was back visiting. I thought…

It's the fake sugar, at least, that's what it was for me when I did Atkins 10 years ago. :flowerforyou:

If you are truly doing everything right and not losing, you need to see a doctor. It is possible to have hormone imbalances that can prevent weight loss or even cause weight gain.
-
Aww! Sounds like she is really beat down (low self-esteem). The first weight she should lose is the boyfriend.
-
Instead of having a meat, grain, and a veggie at a meal, we switched to a meat and 2 or 3 veggies meal.

"One more question. Can I try fat burners like Hydroxycut/Lipo6 to boost metabolism? I'm thinking of trying it cos I'm jealous of people that's able to lose 10kilos in 1month. How the hell do they do it? It took me 3 months just to go down to 10kilos and now I'm stuck." They probably won't keep it off though! Slow and…

Are you logging your food? I ask because I tend to eat more - without even noticing - when I'm working out hard. Just a thought.

I did one with epson salt, baking soda and lavender essential oil. It was relaxing and I felt ready to go to sleep afterwards. I'd do it again just to de-stress.
-
I don't have any advice, I just want to give you a (((hug))).
-
Oh wow! You've got so much going on!!! Please don't be so hard on yourself, it'll only make it worse. It's stressful right now, maybe go into maintenance and then start to lose again when things get settled? :flowerforyou:
-
Warrior. I like that. I strive for that in my faith walk. I've lost 13 pounds too! Sending you a request. :flowerforyou:

I'm sorry for the loss. My step son passed away 2 months ago and my husband is grieving. He likes to be treated "normal." As in, don't talk to him about it unless he brings it up. Our best friends have kept in contact and made sure that we know they are there, but without being pushy. They have brought food over, but knew…

If you are done having children, get an endometrial ablation. My period got so bad and the bleeding was so heavy, I couldn't be away from a bathroom for more than an hour. Seriously, I had to change my "super" size tampons that often. I ate ibuprofen like candy and the pain was still very intense. It really interfered with…

When you say that you eat back exercise calories, are you using the MFP calculations for exercise? Or are you using a heart rate monitor? I notice that MFP tends to over estimate the calories burned during exercise. I would only eat back half. I also think hormones could be at play here. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I like Richard Simmons' Sweatin to the Oldies 3. It's an hour long, it's a good workout and there are no lunges and squats. It might not be hard enough for you, but it's so much fun!!!
