I log my weight every day. I saw every day that I was going up or staying the same. It was really frustrating because I walk 5-6 times a week and do a boot camp 3X's a week. I am using The Guardian guide to running (beginner). It isn't directly for training tips on 5K but it is getting you to run for 30 mins non stop. They do interval training which is what I liked for my motivation (run/walk). I am currently on week 5.
