I am absolutely loving this thread!! Everyone looks amazing, so much hard work and effort right there!! I'm 5ft 4 (well a tad under lol) and it's really inspiring to see everyone's success. I'm currently pregnant so not trying to lose weight but just hoping not to gain too much. But whatever I do gain, seeing photos like…

Thanks, I'll have a look for the group :)

I do allow my children some sugary treats, it's just not all the time. I make sure they have a varied diet and include lots of fruit and veggies (am yet to get them to eat much salad stuff though!) and let them have the odd treat. They get £1 to spend at the shop every Friday and they generally buy a bar of chocolate each.…

Might sound weird, but I feel more sturdy on my feet when I am squatting with weight rather than just body weight! I also found a wider stance helped.

Yes, we have (see below!!, still have a way to go) It can be difficult as like you say, if you are having a tough day and get home and your other half says "sod it, lets get a pizza" it can make you give in and fall off your plan. However, there have been so many times that one of us has been weak and the other has said…

I burnt over 5000 one day!!! Although I have to admit that is definitely not typical LOL. That was a charity trek that was around 25 miles and took in three mountains!!! I was super proud though! 400-600 sounds excellent! There is no typical, just find something that you enjoy doing and keep at it. If you are happy to be…

I had something similar a few weeks back when I started with my personal trainer. Just washing my hair in the shower was too much for my arms lol. Lots of people recommended plenty of protein, a foam roller if you have one and also epsom salts in the bath. It took a good 4 days for me to feel ready to lift with my PT…

I was quite happy to lose some boobage lol. Thank you everyone for your comments, I really appreciate them x

Thank you, you are all so lovely!!!

Oh no!!! Get drinking!!! lol. Personally I drink about 1 litre of plain water a day. Plus 2-3 mugs of tea (with milk) and a can of diet coke on an evening. This works for me. I do tend to notice quite quickly if I am dehydrated and get a headache. With the above amount, I am headache free but not at the toilet every 20…

Calories do count. And Slimming world doesn't count calories. For some people, the fact that you are to have a third of your plate full of lower calorie vegetables and salad will work. It will fill them up and they will eat less of the higher calorie foods and will ultimately lose weight. There is no magic that says as…

l like it in coffee and like to use it as a lip moisturiser and as a hair treatment. If using it in food / coffee just remember to weight it and log it and it's pretty calorie heavy, but as a fat I find it filling if I use it in my coffee.

HCG diet.....

I use sweeteners all the time. The only reason I am careful with it is because I have a sweet tooth and it sometimes makes me want more sweet stuff, but other than that I don't worry.

I'm pretty close to this, but for family of 5.

Oh and you could definitely follow a program such as starting strength without having to do routines with the trainers. Maybe just get advise from them of proper form so you don't hurt yourself or watch lots of you tube videos to check how a certain exercise is done. Adding strength training to my gym sessions has made…

Tell the trainers that as well as losing weight you want to build strength and try and retain as much muscle as possible during weight loss. Your diet will be primarily the reason you lose weight. Cardio will burn some extra calories and so will strength training. So all three combined (diet, cardio and strength) is your…

Definitely research it before you take it!! People had been known to have very messy side effects if eating too much fat. Even things like eggs and tuna can have too much fat for it

Cardio is great for your heart and burning calories. Strength training will help you preserve muscle while losing weight and will give you great shape. What some people call "toning up". They both have lots of other benefits but that's just some highlights. Combining them both is definitely the best idea if you are trying…

I like you

It sounds like you are in a cycle of overeating and then undereating, which I guess is an unhealthy attitude to food. You can always have a chat to your doctors and see what they say.

Hahahaha, this thread has cheered up my day! Whatever floats your boat I say! If 50 shades turns you on then great. It may not be true to real life BDSM but hey.....it's fiction. I am not interested in seeing the film. I'm far too busy in my dungeon for that kind of thing

I go away in 12 days (not like i am counting or anything!) and I an planning to just try and make healthier choices. We are going all inclusive so it might be difficult. I know I will be swimming lots and walking lots and playing in the pool with the boys so I will be way more active than I would on a normal day. I plan to…

YAY!!! Super replies, just what I wanted to hear lol. Thanks!

How long have you been having a distance relationship? I would be pretty upset too, but honestly, the not replying to my texts or calls when I told him I was upset would actually pee me off more than anything. Hope you can get it sorted x

That is awesome! Look at the muscle in her arms and legs!! I bet this has been super great for her confidence, at an age that can be very awkward for us all. It's great that your whole family are getting involved, what a great example you are setting your kids and a great way to stay fit and healthy.
