  • Squats, lunges and deadlifts. :)
  • Yeah this. Anyone could knock together a kind of exercise and diet plan and send to thousands of women in exchange for photos. My personal trainer does not need to see my naked body to put together a plan! An exercise plan designed on the "hang" of your boobs???.... just wow!!!
  • I do eat them now and again but they are very high sugar and not very filling. I wouldn't have them all the time, maybe as just a grab and go snack if you were on your way out and needed something.
  • Training to be perfect - Beautiful!
  • Greek yoghurt with fruit, scrambled eggs and veggies, thin sliced meats with veggies and cheese, regular porridge oats or overnight oats (higher in carbs). Lots of things :)
  • Ah, maybe interval training is more what my PT is talking about then. Sorry for hijacking the thread!!
  • I bought almond flour and coconut flour from an online Asian supermarket, and even including delivery it was way cheaper than at local stores. These flours are great for times when you just want something bread-y. I also use cauliflower to make rice and mash.
  • Haha, I have seen this before. No... I wouldn't do it. She isn't a doctor. She isn't qualified at all to be telling people what to eat. Of course it works, it's a low carb plan that creates a calorie deficit. You don't need her plan to do that. If you want to follow it then go for it. Honestly I personally think that to…
  • I thought this too, my PT has plans for me to lift and follow up with 20 minutes of HIIT. He said it would be more effective for fat loss this way. Why is it not recommended?
  • It's early days just yet. Just keep logging every single thing you eat and drink, make sure you are accurate and weigh everything. Continue to try and get that little walk in when you can. Be patient and consistent. If after 2-3 weeks you are still seeing no loss, have a play around with your calories. Unless you have a…
  • I can't get that link to work for me.
  • Although it can cause problems if you are obsessive about it, only logging what you eat and drink will truly show you how many calories you are eating. If you had just started exercise last week I would say the gain is temporary and could be retained fluid as your worked muscles repair themselves. But after this long I…
  • Yeah go for the 500 calorie pizza, or just pre-log what you plan to have. Pizza hut do the salad bar too so just watch for any creamy sauces but load up on salad and just have a couple of slices of pizza with it. Plus I imagine you will be walking miles around London (I know I did!) so you will probably burn off plenty of…
  • Have a look at calorie cycling, rather than just eating whatever you want for 3 days. I could EASILY eat my way out of a deficite by eating what I wanted on 3 days and restricting calories on 4 days. I do tend to eat a bit more on a weekend and have more treats, so I try and do bigger workouts and make sure we do something…
  • Wow, dude! You sound a little bitter there!
  • I have a shock absorber which is pretty good. They can be a bit pricey but worth it. When I first started working out I didn't have the cash for a decent one so bought a store pack of two cheapy sports bras and wore them both together at the same time which worked surprising well!
  • OP - I really feel for you! Planning for IVF can be so stressful and I really think you and hubby sound in the right place from what you have said. Some people are just frivolous with cash. Whether its 100 bucks a week or 500 bucks a week, they manage to spend it on anything if they have it available! Honestly I spend a…
  • I didn't trust the MFP calculations for strength training so I base my calories on TDEE - 25% (that 25% will definitely lower as I get closer to goal but still have around 50lb to go for now). TDEE includes your activity level so you don't have to worry about finding out how many calories you burned and trying to eat all…
  • Just play around with your numbers and find something that works for you. Eat somewhere between your BMR and your TDEE, don't really recommend eating below your BMR. Look at patterns, is there anything that triggers the eating in the evening? Are you actually hungry or eating through boredom or emotional eating? Some…
  • I posted something similar yesterday as I was in so much pain with my arms after lifting on Monday evening. I had my second personal trainer session booked for last night and had to reschedule. It's now Thursday morning and I am STILL hurting! I am gently stretching my arms and trying to keep them active so the muscles…
  • I bought one and eventually got fed up at looking at the huge clothes rail that I ended up using it for. Having a huge warehouse to workout in sounds fun! It really is amazing what can be achieved with body weight workouts. Add a couple of dumbbells or a kettlebell to the mix and you would be able to come up with a great…
  • Congratulations on your pregnancy! I would strongly advise speaking to your doctor / midwife or whichever healthcare professional is looking after you and get their advise on it. They can just give you guidance on what kind of calories to aim for during the different stages of pregnancy, enough to make sure you and baby…
  • Hahaha, one hand on the wall, one hand on the sink....... and slooooooooooowly down LMAO!!!!
  • What an amazing achievement! You look fantastic! That looks like a slimming world certificate? I know a lady who has also lost a massive amount with slimming world, almost 11 stone! Well done you x
  • I believe that in an interview Jillian Michaels actually said that it wasn't designed to be done every day, that you were supposed to mix it in with other exercise. However most people I know who have done 30DS have done it every day with 10 days at each level. Or moving to the next level when they feel ready and…
  • You just have to get back on that horse! Don't be afraid of quitting before you even try. You lost some weight so you know you can do it, you know it works and you just need to have the determination to see it through.
  • Thanks everyone! To be honest I have been taking some ibroprufen and it has helped a little. My legs don't hurt at all now, just my arms. They are definitely easing up a little though. I'm continuing to stretch them, even though it hurts, I am just gentle and try and hold the stretch. I have been doing it numerous times…
  • Thanks for the hints and tips everyone! I don't have a foam roller, need to look in to that. I can get to a pool though so swimming might be an option!
  • I made a chicken stir fry the other night and this was yummy. 4 tablespoons of soy sauce 4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar 6 tablespoons of clear honey Mix it toegther then add in to the stiry fry once meat is cooked and once veggies are nearly done. Just keep stirring and the liquid cooks down and leaves a sweet kind of…
