I enjoyed reading what everyone else is going to be doing on Thanksgiving day.... I am still on the fence.... logging is so ingrained in me that it is hard to imagine just "skipping" - however, the thought of a free day with NO cheating whatsoever since Labor Day is really appealing... hmmmmm...:)

I agree that if you stick to a certain calorie allotment a day, you really don't have to deprive yourself of anything, including cravings - anything can be portioned out and this is such a powerful tool to help you do that. Okay, have that piece of cake - but just eat a fourth or a third of the size of what you would…

I'm with the others - as long as I stay within my calorie allotment every day, I can eat what I want... :)

Definitely a good idea to look up the menu and plan ahead of time. That way, there are no surprises and you feel more in control. At least I do.

Weekdays - One medium hard boiled egg w/a little salt and garlic, and a slice of turkey bacon (65 cals in the egg, 25 in the turkey bacon), plus coffee with a little creamer (I don't count that) - weekends, usually 1/4 cup egg whites, two small pinches of cheddar, and a slice of two of turkey bacon... depends on how hungry…

I agree with the members here who have mentioned the theory of sticking to a calorie margin. Eat whatever you want, but don't go over your calorie goal for the day. You have so much more variety and don't feel deprived of stuff you like. And of course, you get calorie credit if you exercise!!
