I agree with everyone else, start now! I started lifting when I was about 10 lbs from my goal weight. Since then, my weight loss have plateaued, but I have noticeably gained muscle mass in my arms and legs. My pants are way looser as well. At the same weight, I’m way happier with how my body looks. I started lifting with…

Thank you so much for sharing! You are such an inspiration :) I've been struggling lately, but this is the push I needed. Congrats on your transformation!

I'm down! I've done it sporatically. but never stuck to it. Now I've improved my upper body strength, I think it will be less intimidating

Been pre-planning and pre-logging my meals all week. Sticking sucessfully to calorie and protein macros goals! Also, my super-loose (can't wear without a belt loose) work pants are a constant reminder of how far I've come.

I don't think anyone is arguing that yoga should be done at a studio because it is "mystical." The main assertion is that doing yoga in a studio or class helps prevent injuries because the instructor can look out for bad form or give more detailed explanations of how the poses should safely be done. My own opinion on this…

i do hot (but not bikram) yoga two times a week. I can feel my stress melting away as I'm doing it. It's also helped me become conscious of my breathing, which I use to relieve anxiety and also to increase my endurance while running or lifting. I'm still a beginner, so I work to get deeper into each pose every class and…

I cut out my daily beer, but I still drink it once or twice a week. I treat it like it's dessert - something to be enjoyed once in a while, just not everyday. I love my oatmeal stouts and porters!

Signing up for my first 5K (happening in May). When I was in junior high and high school, I dreaded running and could barely jog for 5 minutes before getting winded. Now I run for fun and I can run for MILES! Lots of clothes victories as well and comments from peers. The biggest NSV for me though, is having so much…

I'm going to do a 3.8miles run/walk (hopefully 30 min of running with 10 min of walking) and 90 minutes of hot yoga. Maybe if I'm feeling up to it, I might do 30DS when I get home as well :)

Yesterday: 4.1 miles Today: 3.8 miles Total: 18.70 miles Goal: 30 miles

Yesterday I did 3.8 miles and I will do the same course (3.8 miles) today. That brings my monthly total to 10.80!

3.2 miles from yesterday. Gotta catch up!

Whether or not it burns a lot of calories, if you like it and it helps your body/mind/spirit, then stick with it! I do Bikhram (hot) yoga 2-3 times a week. I've found that it's easier for me to stop thinking of yoga as excersise (even though it's 90 minutes of hardwork and non-stop sweating) and view it instead as…

I want to be honest with what I eat everyday, even if I eat junk food, and focus on increasing my protein intake this week

I use foodgawker.com. I call it "food porn" because they have tons of pictures of delicious meals. All you have to do is click on the picture and its takes you to a food blog with the recipe. It's a great way to find food blogs that you will love to follow. It has lots of categories to go through. I use is mostly to find…
