I just received a Fitbit Flex and would really like to have some friends. In fact, I'd love to have some more friends here on MFP, as well! https://www.fitbit.com/user/2F38ZM

I found the Champion Powerback bra which has an underwire and I ratchet those straps and hooks and away we go. I'm a DD, which is as high as Champion goes for the High Impact activities. If you have a Hanes/Bali outlet store near you, they sell them at a discount. Good Luck!

THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your great suggestions! We now have a pretty good bunch of ideas to work with. I'll have to come back in a few months with an update. :)

Yep - we do that kind of thing when the weather breaks, but it's kind of tough when there is ice EVERYWHERE, thus the indoor workouts. Thanks :)

It's hard to tell if he likes running, or if he endures it because my husband and I love it. :) I want him to find something that HE enjoys. That's why I was hoping that there was some YouTube videos out there that would appeal to him. Thanks for asking. :)

Holy smokes! Your eyes are even sparklier! Congratulations for finding what works for you and following it through! Your son is ADORABLE, btw. :)

Chiming in from Michigan...I agree, the lunchtime walk helps a lot. I have a pair of boots and Yak Trax that are on standby so I don't fall on my booty. I am lucky to have a window next to my work station, and I pull the blinds up in the morning in an attempt to take in all the sunshine I can get. I try to do my runs when…

I would love to do this! Too bad I live in a state with no subway transport....

I have had this issue and actually passed out face forward while using the bathroom in the middle of the night. I wouldn't advise it. :) Anyhow, after a full medical exam, etc. it was suggested that I drink a lot more water and stop jumping up to do things. Is your blood pressure on the low side? Mine is, and that seems to…

Count me in, please! Thank you! Melly

I am SO jealous! Your property sounds wonderful!

I don't even know you or your mom, but your post and her photos got me all choked up. She looks so healthy, happy, and radiant! Seeking and celebrating good health as a family is truly a gift. I wish you both the best....

I had one at 32 and the other at 35 (not quite late 30's, but anyway...). Honestly, I am in better shape now at 44 than I was before having either of them. :) I have two girlfriends that had babies at 40 with no issues.

Oh, yeah! Wear it. I love the suit, too.

Congratulations! All that training and one fantastic race - you deserve to be very proud!

What everybody else said - Couch to 5K (any version, and there are a few out there) is the key. That's what got me going and I haven't looked back! If it's too hard, you're going too fast. You can't go too slow at first. If you have a hard time with a week, just repeat it. The key is that this is a GRADUAL process. It will…

I would like to get to the point of drinking 1 gallon a day, but I have to know about the bathroom break part. As it stands, I have to use the restroom every 45 minutes at least. I don't know if I could leave a long meeting twice for a potty break. Do you find that your body "get used to" that much water and you can go…

Hello from the east coast of Michigan (Bluewater/Port Huron area)! Feel free to add me! Speaking of Traverse City, it is a fun town and I'm heading up there in a few weeks for the Bayshore Marathon! Woo hoo!

I tend to get B deficient, so I take a B Complex that is a liquid sublingual (drops under the tongue) and I do feel like it gives me more energy. I take it after lunch, and really think it does help with the afternoon sleepies. Best of luck to you!

Hello there! I am a marathoner on the "ample" side. Still in the overweight range. To those who may judge me by my size, I have said that "anybody is welcome to make fun of my butt jiggle AFTER they do a training run with me." Feel free to add me!

I'm betting it is carbonated. They put CO2 in meat packaging - the kind that is "puffy" - because it makes the meat stay pink longer. Carbon dioxide is a pretty cheap, "natural" preservative.

You have a kind heart. It's events like this that make us step back and be grateful.

OK, this one is from a long time ago, but it's the only one I have walked out on: Tin Men. About some guys peddling aluminum siding. Painful.

When I am out on a long run and on autopilot, I use the time to sort out anything that is on my mind. First I work through a layer of anxiety and eventually solutions to many problems magically appear. I swear that physical activity makes my brain work more efficiently.

MY ABSOLUTE HANDS DOWN FAVORITE! It helps with sugar cravings, I swear by it.

I'm just going to be happy when I can put my winter tights and gloves away! Bare arms sounds positively tropical! Winter running can be difficult at times, but it sure does make me appreciate warmer temperatures.

You are strong and beautiful. What a wonderful testimonial to the power that lies within! Keep up the fantastic work!
