Started keto on 1/14/17. Pretty good at keeping at least under 50 grams total, and usually much less than that. However, I still seem to be eating close to 2000 cals per day...which is too much for my frame. I want to get to 115 (currently 133). Question about "maintenance" for 5-10 percent loss: do you continue keto, just…

Oh and I'm 5'3

I'm in! I'm 133, want to get down to 115. I'm doing keto. Anyone else?

Thanks for the tips! I was holding on to my post-prego weightloss, lost more than I gained, but now back to my original weight and need to lose those 15 lbs I've trying to for forever!
-
nevermind! found the shopping list!
-
Thanks for the post! Can anyone who has done it provide a list of "approved" foods? I can't find a comprehensive list on the website...

What a great story! I am in approximately the same boat - used to be 110-112 before I turned 21 and started to drink. At 118 I thought I was "fat". Joined MFP a couple of years back at 132, but did not lose anything. This March-April, I noticed that even though I was running and working out, my weight was always between…

WOW, great results! Congrats!

At least your guys are losing/have lost weight! I have been on MFP since February, but I cannot seem to stick to my goal 1200 calories per day....And even if I lose 2 lbs, they come back the next day. I am 134 as of today, and it seems like I will never reach my goal of 115.

I am on Wellbutrin (for depression). I am also a former smoker but I quit w/o any medication. Buproprion, the ingredient in both Zyban and Wellbutrin, does suppress appetite for ME. I think everybody (and every body) is different so you just have to see if it works for you.

Wow, what a change! You look great! Keep it up!

You look great! Awesome job!

So amazing! I've been in a rut with exercise, but seeing results like this is an inspiration! Will be getting my own 30DS DVD!

Great job!

What a transformation! Congrats!

Great story and great results! I "understand" depression and not caring about anything...As well as abusive relationships. So, you rock! What an inspiration!

There is definitely a difference! Everything is "higher", especially in the back!

SF/Oakland, CA!

Same here...especially white. I always end up way over calories that day (and then some).
-
Really great job! Thanks for the inspiration!

I am 5'2 and need to lose 15-20 lbs, ideally be 115!

I am in! To follow on a previous post re: roxy lean, I take it and am finally able to eat less! Takes about a week to get used to it. Still haven't had a day with 1200 calories, but at least I've been able to keep it under 2000, which is huge for me. I have 327 calories left for today - Amy's burrito it is!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've already incorporated apple cider vinegar and whey protein shakes (I actually always have it in the cupboard, but rarely use it - no time like the present to start!) This community is really amazing and supportive - thanks again! I am already down to 134, and was able to keep my calories…

Tatiana, you are absolutely correct re: crappy carbs. And no, I am no longer in grad school. Graduated in 2008, passed the bar, have a job, got married, so not a whole lot of stress going on. I think I just have a bad relationship with food.
-
Cletc: they want me to eat 165 grams of carbs per day. I try to eat more protein than carbs, but since I have not stuck to 1,200 for not even one day, I eat more carbs than recommended. Re: whey protein advice - I'll get back to it! Sometimes I am in the mood for something warm and salty in the morning, like scrambled…
-
JatieKo: potato chips are my cryptonite. I am glad I am not alone with the salty carbs thing!

I understand that I may need more than 1,200, but I often end up with 3,000! I only run 3x week, up to 3-6 miles on average, except for long runs on weekends. A mile burns roughly 100 calories, so I definitely don't burn as much as I consume...
-
Would Trader Joe's organic pasteurized apple cider work instead? I've already bought a bottle but have been sporadic using it. Also, once a day or before each meal?
-
Thanks so much for your response! I will try to do the protein thing.
