Hard for me to! My downfall is usually the drinking - I try to stick to wine, light beer and/or vodka and soda but it adds up so quickly!

I think it gets super confusing. The advice my trainer gave me is to do three sessions of at least 45 minutes in duration a week of sustained cardio - like walking fast or eliptical or something - that keeps my heart rate in the 'aerobic' zone to help with fat burn. I pray this will not happen to you - but I bought the insurance on my honeymoon and was SO GLAD I did when I had to call the wedding off three months out d/t his having an affair at work. I got my $1500 deposit back - so worth the $$$.

I've been at this for a while - some weeks better than others. I have only lost 6 lbs in scale weight, but through body fat testing I know I have converted approximately 22.5 lbs of body mass from fat to muscle. That made me feel much better about the work I have been putting in!

I am 5'7 and about 192#. I want to be about 170#. My predicted rate (resting energy expenditure) was 1647, but measured was at 1800. She said that my REE is 9% higher than average. As I mentioned above, I have been trying to stay around 1200-1400, and she told me to bump up. I'm curious how this will go.

Someone told me that if you are going to eat a food, look at the protein count and multiply by three. If that number isn't greater than the gross carbs, then don't eat it (the exceptions being fruits and veggies) so I try to use this as a rule of thumb. I'm sure others have differing thoughts.
