I agree, Amazon, but there are a ton of online bicycle retailers that probably carry your size too. Some I've have a good experience with are JensonUSA, Performance Bike and Treefort Bikes just to name a few.

I've always left my activity level at sedentary, only because I don't exercise regularly. I'd rather add it in myself. I agree 2800 calories is very high for a "diet". Try going down to about 1800 and see if it improves. Also measuring and weighing food is a must for this to work. I was surprised to learn that a cup or…

Sure it would help.. why would it be a waste of time? I think it all depends on what you enjoy. For me, lifting weights seems boring, I'd rather be outside enjoying nature. Cycling also seems more measurable as far as calories burned during the exercise.

Since the new year I've been eating very little meat and a lot more fruits and veggies and I've noticed my bm's going from every other day to almost every day. It makes sense to me since veggies and fruits digest quicker than meat. I'd try more veggies in your diet.

lol.. but true! My "ton" of veggies would be a large homemade green smoothie.

1. At your weight you are fine. Issues with large riders usually start at 300+ and it's usually the wheels/spokes that start having trouble first. 2. Start by doing a little at a time. If you can get on and do a mile at first, good for you. Next time you can increase your distance a little. 3. Cycling, swimming and running…

Why are people afraid to put in the hard work to lose? There is no quick and easy solution to weight loss. A change in diet (exercise helps too) is really all you need. Change your eating habits (and stick with it) and you will lose the weight. It's pretty simple. There are no miracle pills, plants or fruits that will do…

As a cyclist who rides at all times of the day and night on city streets and in traffic, I agree all cyclists (and people who use bicycles for transportation aka "bikers") should be held accountable for following the laws and rules when it comes to riding. I always see people riding in the dark with no lights and riding…

I agree with some of the other posters.. you are eating more than you think. Start weighing/measuring your food and read the labels.

I'm having the same problem this week... I was doing good at logging and then one day it started to fall apart. Today I'm starting over. Forget the past. I can't fix it.

Congrats on making the change. In addition to running, cycling can be a great cardio workout and calorie burner. I stopped drinking soda years ago. I drink Crystal Light now as an alternative. Water would be best, but I'm not a fan of drinking just water.

I've been off sodas for years. I drink Crystal Light now and usually just black coffee in the morning. Like the above poster said.. you can have success with limited exercise if your diet is right. Good Luck.
