Newbie here, I am 46 and finally landed in the normal BMI Zone (24.6). That was my ultimate goal. Now I want to lose 10 more lbs until I go on my Germany vacation in July. 10 lbs in 3 month should be doable. Age is no excuse!

Exactly, that's why it is bad to say: Diet soda is good or bad. Some people have health issues drinking it, others are perfectly fine with it.

If you don't experience any health issues, enjoy. I can't drink any kind of diet soda, my belly gets very bloated and I feel like crap. No problems with regular soda.

Of course there are bad foods. Some of the stuff sold in the US is not even legal in the EU like Olestra or rBST etc. also some foods still contain transfats, which are health risky. Any processed food with a ton of E Nr. are IMO bad but we all eat it.

I have never been obese, just slightly overweight. My BMI is around 25,5. I weigh 147 lbs and my goal is 130 lbs by July. I am losing around 1 lbs per week by cutting 3500 cal. I would love to lose a lot faster but there is no way, I can eat less without beeing hungry all the time. Patience is the magic word and its hard…

My real weight is the average weekly weight that my aria scale sends to my fitbit. That's why I weigh in daily.

Anything with protein and carb together. Eggs and oatmeal or wasa bread and cheese.

Maybe this time its harder to lose because your body memorizes and desperately want to hold on to fat etc. Jojo-Effect? You get the same result again but this time it might just take twice as long so just be super patient.

According to some new Australian studies it is OK. You lose weight faster but at the end its all about maintaining.

When I first came to the U.S I was shocked to see so many obese people. Especially in Florida. Now it seems totally normal. I don't even notice it so much anymore. Its just sad!

I don't care. Back in germany we even took showers together in the gym in a big common shower room and EVERYONE was naked in the locker room. Always have to laugh when I see curtains here everywhere in the shower room. But its just a different country and things are different.
