What I don't get is this: YOU joined MFP to improve YOURSELF. Your husband didn't. Why are you hyper focusing on alllllll the negative stuff when you could be improving yourself (like you originally signed up for... imagine that)? It's not worth the fight when you know it's just going to end with arguing and both of you…

Quoted for truth. In my experience, either you learn to live and work TOGETHER or go your separate paths. If you are having this big of an issue so early into the marriage, maybe think about why you married him in the first place. Because based off your post, you guys don't sound like you're on the same page. Personally,…

I'm the same. I had anorexia from late elementary into high school/college. I rarely had my period, maybe 2 times out of the year if that. I since have gained weight and live a healthy lifestyle without restricting/not eating and getting in my proper exchanges and nutrients, etc. I still don't get my period regularly, but…

Love almond milk (unsweetened). Also really love hemp milk.

This is suuuper dangerous. I suggest you read more about this lifestyle you have chosen; because it is a lifestyle, not a diet. I've know many "vegetarians" and "vegans" (some being my friends) who have literally ate nothing but starchy breads, pastas, etc. because they didnt know where to get their protein (among other…

LOVE Sushi. Well, not really since I am vegetarian. I'm my area we have a big vegan/vegetarian community so they have lots and LOTS of yummy and creative veggie rolls. I'm not sure if they will have these, but I've gone to different states and areas and they offer similar rolls but with different names The Hot Hippy: spicy…

For main I usually have a veggie sandwich with hummus or black bean spread - depending on how much time I have, I will roast the veggies for more flavor. I also make lentil and black/pinto bean "tacos" in lettuce wraps. I switch this up often too, playing with various flavors. Snacks I always pack lots of fresh veggies and…

Everyone is different. Counting calories helps me because I used to be anorexia and I need help with realistic servings/portion sizes. I could see where it could go the other way to binge-eating or maybe even the opposite, but it's really what you make of it. It's all mental and self discipline in the end. If I ate when I…

I've been called just about everything in the book. People are mean. No one thinks about what their words might do to someone in the long run. I try not to hyperfocus on what I have been called; it took me years (still struggle, not going to lie) on what people teased me about or called me because I just get sad thinking…

Thank you! Life saver :)

Try short grain brown rice (pressure cooked is supposed to be easier to digest, I don't see the difference though lol), red rice, bamboo rice, wild rice, forbidden black rice, pink rice (not making these up!), millet, quinoa, buckwheat, oats, barley, teff, amaranth... possibilities are endless! I try to include…

I was raised vegetarian and now have 90% vegan diet (I have the occasional frozen yogurt haha) Number one mistake newly vegetarians do is consume TOO MANY carbs; they instantly turn to breads, pastas, and various other types of starches and high sugar/caloric foods. You have to do your research, and frequently. Vegetarian…

With baking, use banana or flax-egg to bind the flours together. Almond meal is such a great substitute for muffins/pancakes. You can make sweet potato pancakes and mix in almond meal. Just google recipes online!
