Pass, sry man...

I had a heart attack Sept 6 of last year and my cardiologist said he wanted me to drop 40 pounds by the one year anniversary. I was 260 at the time and when I last weighed myself, I was 259. I've probably lost 50 pounds easy, but it just comes storming right back. It's really depressing, makes it feel like all this work is…

Stay, since I was already here, but inform the good man that this was not a clothing optional establishment.
-
Stay and ask why he was naked.

I have a shirt that reads "Running Sucks." My knees weren't designed for it, lol.
-
I figure no one wants to see me anyway, so why bother, lol.

I've actually never even though about You Tube for weight loss motivation. Excellent idea though, might have to go do a little browsing later.

Sounds like you already have your motivation and some goals. Remind yourself of them often and why you have them! Best wishes to you on your journey!

Best wishes on your journey!

WoW player here. I dabbled with the first PS and Xbox, but since WoW, I haven't played much anything else. I played Diablo III for a bit, but Blizz gave it away to WoW subscribers that signed up for one year. I also have played the Star Wars MMO a little. Oh yeah, and some Minesweeper, lol.

Congrats on the impending nuptials!

I don't go out much (socially) either. This can be a nice way to find some motivation and support.

I remember Colecovision. Started off with the Atari 2600.

Keep in mind that at a heavier weight, you probably healthily loose a little bit more, but 15-20 pounds in a month just doesn't sound right. For most people, healthy weight loss is only going to be a pound or two a week on average. Set realistic goals and constantly remind yourself why you have them! Best wishes to you :-)

I went from an A cup to an A cup. :-)

You got this!

I'll be 40 in October, that close enough?

The only game I've played for years is WoW. I had the first PS and XBox, but I stopped with console systems after getting into WoW.
-
I am so sorry for your loss. Best wishes to you on your journey!

The only suggestion I would have is Google. I'm looking to loose weight also, but just in general, not from any specific area. If you go to a gym or have access to an elliptical machine, those are supposed to be good for your gluts as well as legs.

Best wishes to you on your journey!

Great post, thanks for sharing!

Don't starve yourself to make up for a few days of excess. I injured my knee recently after trying to incorporate some jogging into my time on the treadmill, got really mad (not upset, like pissed off mad), and gorged myself for a week, gained back every pound I had lost. We just have to get back on the bus and start the…

I have a few shirts that are a size too small. I told myself the same thing that it might motivate me to fit in them quicker, but all it's really done is make me aware of just how big my belly is.

Maybe instead of trying to get through your afternoons without snacking, you should incorporate healthier snacks into your diet. Fruit, nuts, something like that. As far as working out, I find it better for myself to go to the gym in the morning before I go to work. Just keep reminding yourself WHY you have set these goals…

How long have you been using weights? Building muscle might appear to slow your weight loss some since muscle has more mass than fat. Another thing I might suggest is re-evaluating your "calorie-torching" workouts. Have you considered the possibility that you are burning yourself out? Before my knee started bothering me a…

I would enjoy being your friend, but I must warn you, you will see fast food frequently on my food diary. Long story, but my g/f and I just can't keep food here, not even frozen food. The vultures eat EVERYTHING...

I don't know, but I do know it increases the chances of me yanking my ear buds out...ouch.

I'm a pretty new user to MFP, but so far, it's really been a great way to track my caloric intake. The weight is going down slowly but steadily.

Motivation is definitely key here! I use to snack all the time also. I still do, kinda sorta, but it's fruit I snack on now. Apple, banana, just had a peach, even a handful of nuts. There are a lot of great options for snacking that can be a good way to ease yourself into a new lifestyle.
