Snacking and finding motivation

Hi all,

I am doing a weight loss challenge. I'm just beginning the 5th week and have only lost 7.8 pounds. Each morning I start off with a good breakfast and a plan for the day (eating healthy meals and working out when I get home). I almost always pack a lunch and have been taking salads or a small portion of healthy leftovers from supper. By afternoon, I feel like I need a snack and usually eat popcorn, animal crackers or whatever I can find. I get home and am "too tired" to work out. I've got about 100 pounds to lose and am finding it so hard to stick to my plan, and to work out. Any suggestions on how to stay motivated, get through the afternoon without snacking, or staying committed to working out??

Maybe instead of trying to get through your afternoons without snacking, you should incorporate healthier snacks into your diet. Fruit, nuts, something like that. As far as working out, I find it better for myself to go to the gym in the morning before I go to work. Just keep reminding yourself WHY you have set these goals :-)
