I think you're awesome. :} My ringtone is the Brunnen G song from Lexx, which makes me very happy whenever I hear it (but it's very quiet). I haven't found an option to change my text notification sound, but if I ever do it's going to be the original Star Trek communicator chirping noise.

Almost all of my direct ancestors on one side lived to be between 70 and 100... some longer. :] I haven't been able to trace the other side yet.

I'm not an expert or anything, but from what I've read your activity level should reflect what you do before exercise, because you record the exercise separately. If you had it set higher because of exercise, it would record the exercise twice.

Do some strength training for your biceps/triceps maybe? I really don't know, but I'm also interested to find out.

Yep. Hi there. :) I think MFP is pretty vegetarian-heavy.

That sounds amazing... I think mine is a cheesecake, homemeade by a person at work... a whole one, please. :}

Saving this, because I too am a total ****ing rock star from Mars.

You should still lose weight with 1300 or 1400 calories a day, but you're right, more slowly; any amount under maintenance is a calorie deficit. About the going to bed hungry, though, I'm curious about that myself.

Thank everybody. Mine doesn't have a place to enter age, height, or weight, so I'm guessing I have a piece of crap :) One that almost certainly estimates by steps. That actually makes me feel better, and I can still use it as a pedometer if I'm just walking.

I don't work out, but I have a friend who does, and just yesterday he was mentioning the same problem. He's been working out just fine for several weeks, then he just got too sore and tired to do it one day. I can't speak from any professional experience, but from an outside viewpoint it seems like a day off a week would…

Thanks. I probably need to rethink my goal weight... Too bad that the end of your ticker can't just say "Not squishy".

Saving. :) Thank you very much for the article.

To feel good enough to wear female costumes/cosplay rather than male ones. To not be squishy :P To actually have some self-esteem and self-confidence, which I haven't had since kindergarten. Having this confidence will hopefully help me leave my retail job, go to school, and do something fulfilling... so, basically, change…

I think that cheat days often work for people due to calorie cycling. I know I hadn't heard the term the first time i tried to lose weight, but I found that I plateaued actually ten pounds from where I wanted to be and my cheat-weekends were the only time I actually lost weight after that. So, yeah, I believe in them, and…

It's not a reason I really want to admit, since it's kind of shallow and trivial, and I'm actually only straddling the upper end of the healthy weight range, but... thigh chafing. It's not the only reason - I had been depressed due to some issues for a little while, and my "skinny jeans" became "impossible jeans" and my…

Totally with you. :}

I usually get compliments on my hair, but only because it's long; there's nothing special about it. What I like is my pale skin and the way I look when I've been in the cold and get pink cheeks. Makes me think of Snow White, like someone else said about herself. :) Plus I never sunburn, which is very nice. And also,…

Pasta... mac and cheese and fettucini alfredo especially. I know it's so bad, but it's most of what I eat... I'll switch to the Lean Cuisine sorts of varieties, but I don't think I'm willing to find something healthier. I just have to plan calories around that.

I'm going to be terribly original and say nuts. Not a whole lot else shocked me. Actually, I was surprised by how little watery fruits like oranges have... I guess I thought since they are sweet they'd be bad.
