@_nikkiwolf_ thanks for reporting back on the flip belt and bottle. I will definitely pass on the bottle! And those pictures are gorgeous! The grass is so green! We have a lot of brown lawns around right now. It's pretty dry. As for my running belt and hydration options, I am thinking I will need 2 belts for different…

@MorningGhost14 I don’t think I would like to be between a snow plow and an electric fence, either. I guess your profile picture indicates the gesture you might be giving the snow plow driver. @rune1990 congrats on running your first 5km! 37 mins is a great time for your first one! @ceciliaslater that is some bruise! And…

Surpassed my 150 km goal this morning. This is my biggest month since I got this Garmin and started recording my data on Garmin Connect (19 months ago), so I’m pretty stoked about that. I am not caught up on the thread, hope everyone is doing great. I may have more time later, but first I need to sort out all the kids' school books for back to school next week. My daughter (she is 9 and can't wait for school to go back) has been hanging out to do this for weeks, and was on me as soon as I came back from…

@9voice9 @MobyCarp @shanaber @_nikkiwolf_ : thanks for your responses! I will definitely be checking out some of those hydration belts you mentioned. @shanaber : love that you carry food and treats for the pup! @_nikkiwolf_ : I would love to hear how the flip belt and water bottle combo go.

Hey everyone, I would like to ask what people use to carry stuff in while they are out on long runs - water, phones, food, etc. I have this really old running shirt that has pockets in the back I can fit phone and snacks in, but I will have to retire it soon. And now I can't find a running shirt with pockets to replace it!…

@9voice9 Congrats on finishing your first HM! I remember during my first one having very negative thoughts around the 10-11km mark (that's only half way), thinking "why on earth am I doing this? I can't do this", etc, etc. Then I had something to eat and finished it anyway. My mind set in my 4th HM was much different. I…

@runner_girl83 Congrats on the pain free run today! Good thinking to listen to your body and overhaul your HM plan. :) @MorningGhost14 haha @ stoner girl. Good luck! They didn't look they were doing much running in the video, and man, I worry about their lungs - that's a lot of smoke! Maybe you should postpone the weed if…
-
@KatEmmaMarie wow - you are doing great! @kristinegift and @Elise4270 : I am just chiming in on the aches and niggles of long distance running. Who doesn’t love talking about that? So, I have never had any toe, shin, hamstring or ITB issues, but I have found that I dorsiflex excessively with my right foot, so I have been…
-
@zmcgrandles congrats on your long run! @Ch1psNQueso you're gonna have to up your goal!
-
@runner_girl83 sorry to hear about your shin pain. It's a great idea to rest and cut back mileage. Good luck with your next run. @MorningGhost14 I guess you have a good idea of how your body responds to pot to be considering the idea. I had no idea pot was used in the ultra running community, and was even considered a…

Welcome @MMillard77, we have a few Aussies here (myself included) struggling in the heat and humidity. I have taken to very early morning runs to beat the heat. @Virkati , @GBrady43068 , @Stoshew71 , @ceciliaslater : lol @ gangster roos. Luckily, the roos I saw were definitely laid back, aussie style roos. @skippygirlsmom : Tell Skip that Australia is a pretty nice part of the world, and I don't think I could discourage her from wanting to come live here. 6 Jan: 8.3 km run today; slow/easy. 7:49 min/km. Av HR 130; Max HR 138. Nature out in force this morning. A cyclist stopped me to warn about a snake on the path (I didn't see it when I went through, but I was looking out for it), and a mob of kangaroos behind the golf club.

@runner_girl83 - great run pushing the pram! When I had little babies, I tried running a couple of times with the pram, but found it way too hard. I was super happy to wait for hubs to get home so I could go out by myself. Love the idea of virtual running too. Something I hadn't considered yet.
