Music or running with a buddy. personally I like running to musical. It can keep you motivated. I even go as far as creating a custom playlist, so more inspirational songs play towards the end of my run, when I'm feeling tired.

I just made my first 10k run last week. I've been running pretty much three times a week for 6 months now. I managed to do it in an hour and four minutes. The key is in my opinion, go at a comfortable pace and wear a good pair of shoes.

Dogs are the trouble for me. It's like I'm a dog magnet. I start running and they come out of nowhere and chase me. That is at the park by the way, not when I'm street running lol.

Swimming is great for burning calories, but personally I find doing laps a bit boring. It's also great if you have joint problems.

Nike plus is a great little tool to measure your calories. The only negative is you have to have nike+ shoes. But like others have said, there are a number of free tools that you can use.

Light cycling is good, but not spin or going up hills. Swimming is another great option. Slow jogging would be fine as long as you keep away from hills. I have one cheat day a week, usually a saturday and I up my calories by 500, so usually that's a couple pieces of pizza and an ice-cream or something :)

I'm a primary school teacher and hit the gym at 5.30 am, finish by 6.30 and at school by 7.30 ready for the day. I only do that twice a week though, because it takes a lot out of you.

Does an Ipod count. If it does then an Ipod, becuas enothings more motivating then listening to music and that nike+ app has been great.

I do lifting at home, mainly sticking to the made multi joint exercises. I find it easy to work into my day to day life.
