Wow! There are so many great tips in this thread! I don't have too many unique ideas to contibute, but I am definitely on board with planning more active outings with family and friends over the holidays. So many celebrations this time of year are centered around food and it's nice to have a wider range of activities in…

Maybe you should try some recipes from the Sneaky Chef? She hides pureed veggies in things like meatloaf or pizza.

What a great thread! For me, oatmeal (without extra sugar), roasted carrots, broccoli any kind of way, tofu, tuna, oysters and mussels. I also had no idea how much I loved tomatoes!

Thanks! Love it already!

The Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc is great, although I hear Layer Cake is VERY sweet. Good luck!

True! Kickboxing is great!

I agree! More fruits and vegetables is always best! Raw or cooked!

What great advice!

Definitely try this! And be selective! Also, steer clear of dishes that are topped with lots of nuts or cheese. Those are usually the most calorie laden of the bunch.

It's a little silly but have you tried thinking in different colors? Alot of vegetables have different vitamins and minerals depending on their color. Maybe you could go for purple veggies at dinner one night, and orange the next? *Please ignore the title of the link. It has good info despite the name. :)…

I am dairy-free. If you give up dairy, there are a ton of products you can buy for the home. And eating out isn't so hard if you tell your server you have a dairy allergy. It's really not so hard once you get used to it. Plus, you'll feel better!

Why not try both? Calorie counting will help you recognize portion sizes better and keep yourself accountable. And cutting back on white carbs and subbing them for good complex carbs (like raw fruits and vegetables) will help you drop the unwanted pounds.

This is my favorite! In case you have any of the "full" servings lying around. :) http://www.self.com/fooddiet/2009/06/10-calorie-snacks

I agree with Sweet Gurl and Lauren's ideas! Journaling does fantastic things, especially since the hunger that comes on from binge eating is usually all in your mind, not true hunger from your stomach. Make your dinner a little later, around 7. And have a wholesome snack with protein and complex carbs before dinner…

Grapes, I think 1.5 cups has 90 calories. 1/2 cup of Bran Flakes with Unsweetened Almond Milk, and a few berries! A serving of fruity Cheerios (dry). Cucumbers and Baby Carrots. If you can spare 130 calories, a serving of Hagen Daaz Chocolate Sorbet (NOT the ice cream). 1/2 slice Whole Foods Vegan Chocolate Cake. Tall…

This works for me! A tall glass of sparkling water helps, too! If you drink up, your stomach will simply be too full for anything else. Plus, when you often think you're hungry, it's really dehydration in disguise. If you absoluetly need some "safe snacks," I've heard that frozen grapes do it for a lot of people.…

I agree. Do what works best for you! As long as you don't "binge" at lunch, you're good!

I feel the same way about bell peppers, but this recipe is easy and it helped me appreciate all their flavor! http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/red_pepper_goat_cheese_frittata.html Roasting also helps. Add roasted peppers to salads or sandwiches. They're yum!

I like the salads at Which Wich. My fav is 220 calories. Black Bean Patty Bowl with Spinach, Avocado, Carmelized onions, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Cucumbers. Then add your dressing. I like Honey Mustard. Lots of fiber and veggies in that one! It keeps me super full all day at work! I also like to bring raw veggies and hummus…

Thanks for the Undressed Skeleton! It's great! :)

Pick up Jillian Michaels' Master Your Metabolism and read it cover to cover. A ton of information on nutirents, balancing your hormones for the best weight loss/weight maintenance and foods to enjoy and avoid. I lost 30 pounds after reading it and taking many of the chapters to heart. Good luck!

Hi Friend, I agree. It does sound like an eating disorder. The person who posted taking your calories up just by 50 a week has good advice. Therapy and support groups will be helpful too. Feel free to message me if you need someone to talk to. :) Sara
