  • People are mean, I learnt this when I first joined. It's okay though, because people are mean in life, they justify it by saying they are being honest but I was brought up to be polite. You can disagree with people and express that in a polite manner. My dad always taught me, if you don't have anything nice to say just…
  • Hi, I'm in a similar position to you, i am ~5ft 2" 145lbs and looking to lose my food belly. I have been a veggie in the past but i do eat meat now, add me and maybe we can support eachother. x
  • Thanks so much for this post, everyone's comments have been really helpful. I also struggle with fast food;(and alcohol) I don't have kids but work 40hrs a week in a busy office and between 10 and 30hrs in a pub kitchen (which makes it so hard no to eat pub food). Sometimes I don't have a full day off for a month. Having…
  • I find eating healthy expensive, but time is definately a massive factor aswell. I don't think i'm lazy as i work between 50-70hrs a week, as well as having to maintain my home. Always find it funny when people say about having a prep day on Sunday, would love to have the time to prepare meals for the whole week. But i'm…
  • I am somewhere between 5ft and 5ft 3 depends who you ask... Lost 11 lbs to date and 26 still to go. Add me we can support each other
  • I am not judging anyone, 'those who can do, those who can't teach' that can be very appropriate, I don't doubt that some people that are overweight have extensive knowledge when it comes to losing weight and some go on to living a healthy lifestyle which is the aim for us all. I apologise i feel that my post has come…
  • If I lost 80, 100 or 113lbs I'd probably be dead so that advice isn't really applicable to me...like I said everyone is on a slightly different path and if there was a formula that everyone could follow to the letter I think we all would. I have not said that this 3 day diet is a good idea, I have just shared my personal…
  • I think that you have misunderstood what I have said, I am not implying that what you or anyone else has said is wrong, what I am saying is that if you listen to everyone that has/hasn't lost weight's advice it can be very confusing. And when you read people's success stories they often have different routes they take. I…
  • People are very quick to judge, different things work for different people I tried the gm diet which is 7 days long, I didn't lose loads of weight but my appetite adapted, which I found a kickstart to a sustainable change in diet. But I always struggled with starting a diet so for me it worked. Some people will always give…
  • That is very encouraging, I have no issues cutting calories, I could eat one junky meal a day and not be hungry, but I am actively trying to change my mindset on that, as I don't feel it is good for my overall health. I have lowered my calories previously I have now put it up to 1500 calories to see if that kick starts…
  • Like I said it's not about fast, but for me eating healthily is always a chore, I'm very busy so not going for the quick easy option is very hard. But I'm trying
  • Putting my activity level to 1-2 times a week, puts my TDEE up to 1945 so 20% below that is 1560. Which isn't far off where I'm eating at the moment.
  • Like I say, I've read until I can't read anymore, I know that it's not an overnight thing and when I say fast I mean I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere at all. 20% below my TDEE is below my BMR, which is why I set it at 1400, but as I say don't know how much closer I can get to my TDEE and actually be losing weight.…
  • I would put myself at a 9, although this may be counterproductive. I tend to eat prepackaged foods when I'm not in the house (like a tin of soup or a weight watchers meal) or I eat in restaurants where I know all the calories can be found easily online. When I am in the house I scan everything before I open the packets…
  • I know the feeling, eating 800-1200 calories a day and I'm not losing any weight. I understand the numbers but they don't seem to work for me

  • I work a lot, so don't have a huge amount of time to be hungry. I have opened my diary now, but think I eat pretty stamdardly, tend to stay away from bread, pasta and rice but I do eat it everyone and again. Also tend to stay say from red meat, just because I'm not a massive fan of it. Any ideas to improve my diary would…
