I am definitely a binge eater. Carbs not emotion seem to trigger it for me. Having a protein with the carb has helped me to stop the overeating. Slugging tons of water helps me too feel fuller. The closer you are to goal weight the harder it will be to lose. So losing when you have 40 lbs to lose will seem easier. You are one month in. Are you being honest with your food? Are you weighing it or eyeballing it?

Work out all you want but your diet is the most important thing to focus on.

Are you exercising? I found that when I exercise I need to eat more to lose the weight. Especially when I am plateauing. I know it seems backwards but pumping up the calories a couple of hundred seemed to help me.

I did the 5:2 diet for a couple of weeks just to mix it up. It helped me know what hunger felt like again. Go a day with no food and you will know what hunger feels like vs. what desire feels like.

I teach and fitness test children in grades 2-5. The goal of this is not to make them feel bad it is to give them an idea of where they are physically. If your son is doing 0 push ups he can make that better by practicing push ups. He will get stronger. Same with running. Have him do more endurance activities. HAve him run…
