How much time do you have between today and when you start your 6 weeks? If you have a week or two, another approach might be to cook an extra serving at dinner and freeze them. Then you'll have various dinners to rotate thru or swap out if you need a break from the "perfect day".

JEFIT has a ton of built in routines based on what options you choose (home, beginner, days of week). It has videos/descriptions for exercises but I don't think it has trainer led video workouts.

Hi Leah, I've not seen anyone mention this yet but as you're already at a healthy BMI (5'2" 61.2kg (135lb) of 24.7, weight loss is going to come very slowly. Hopefully you've chosen a healthy rate of loss of half a pound (.23 kg) per week.

I use this website for great budget friendly recipes: www.budgetbytes.com I've yet to make anything that I didn't enjoy, especially the oatmeal bakes.

I am currently obsessed with the new Isopure Infusions that blend "clear". It's like drinking flavored water.

Please do extensive research before going the ambien route. And if you do decide that ambien is the way to go, under no circumstances should you mix them with alcohol. Especially if you have PTSD and/or depressive episodes.

I'm 47, pre-menopause with heavy night sweats and hot flashes. I've always used non-hormonal birth control as the pill would cause crying and rage issues. To try to combat the hot flashes and night sweats my gyno put me on a low dose progestin (not progesterin) with no estrogen about 6 months ago. The first 3 months were…

I buy the Dymatize birthday cake. All of their flavors are fabulous. I'm a big fan of the red velvet cake and banana cream pie when they offer them. They use stevia but sometimes it's a stevia/sucralose blend.

I stock up on oils and vinegars anytime I am close to one of these stores: http://seasonstaproom.com/ There might be one of these close to you (or something similar). You can taste test everything before you buy. The Black Truffle balsamic is heaven on strawberries!

I thought the same and am relatively certain I saw it on Lyle McDonald's site at one point but I've combed the site to look for it but can't find it.

*Stares* *blink blink* "Oh, interesting. Can I see your badge?" "My badge?" "Your Food Police badge. Surely you got one when you graduated from Fake News University right? Did you major or minor in false nutrition facts?" *walks away*

Start out small by prepping maybe a weeks worth of snacks. Once you get into that rhythm, prep a few days worth of lunches (or dinners or breakfasts) and get used to incorporating those. I usually advise prepping whichever meal you're most likely to go off plan for. If you can typically stick to your planned lunch but end…

12 hour is odd that's for sure but it's better than 2 and should give you time to rehydrate and fuel. You could start lowering carb intake now but keep sodium the same until you start the protocol 5 days out.

45, 5'6, 175lb Last tested gym 1rep @290, comp @280 just over a year ago and was training heavy sets at 3x8 @245. Took some time off to heal some other issues and making my way back to heavies, currently at 6x8 @205.

Every lift is only as strong as the weakest muscle involved in the lift. Are you following a program? Are you pulling sumo or conventional? What kind of rep scheme are you following? At what point in the deadlift do you fail the lift (from the floor, at the knees or at lockout)?
-
You're 10 days out so you're not going to make much in the way of strength gains so I don't see any reason not to start decreasing carb intake now BUT that's going to depend on how high your carb intake has been over the past few months. Water and sodium manipulation typically starts 5-6 days out. Do you have a 24 hour…

Ok, just wanted to make sure you weren't a newbie to water cuts before. whenever I need to water cut prior to competition this is the protocol that I follow: http://www.powerliftingtowin.com/cutting-weight-for-powerlifting/ Adjust as necessary based on your experiences with previous water cuts. Hopefully you have a 24 hour…

How are you measuring that you're gaining muscle but not losing fat?
-
Is this your first competition? Have you ever weighed 114 or less? Have you ever done a water cut before?
-
Is there a reason why you need to drop to the 114 class?

Fitocracy. It's an app and a full website where you earn "points" for exercises and Level up to higher levels. You can also duel against other members and earn badges for certain things like running mileage, lift numbers (based on wilks) etc. It also keeps track of all of your lists and tells you when you PR in a lift. It…
