He has a show playing on PBS now; very good. Now I'm listening to the audio book. So simplistic yet difficult for Americans to take the time to prepare fresh foods. I'm turning off the tv and computer (more) to take the time to prepare wholesome foods for my family. Also, eating out way less and choosing healthy places…

Gluten free for a month & 1/2. Decided to try it since I have quite a few of the symptoms and my niece has a severe case of it. First week, my restless leg syndrome stopped! I am not craving food all the time, appetite is now normal and I am losing weight slowly each week. Hip pain has also stopped. A lack of iron can…

Almost there. Fitbit says I'm at: 93.12 miles!

My gym requires it. Also, a friend and her husband caught MRSA 2 years ago and after questioning them, their doctor said they most likely caught it from their gym's equipment.

My goal is to walk/hike 60 minutes a day. I'm going with my son's scout troop to hike Glacier National Park next summer and I want to be in shape. I'm getting close to 60 minutes of walking a day and have started adding hiking this past week.

Very interesting how Day 4 was tougher for the group (me included). Today was way better. I am still alternating Level 1 and Level 2. Level 2 seems a little easier for me.

Hi, I'm Shana; 42 yr old mom of four with a full time career. I've started the Shred several times and have found it hard to keep it up in the mornings (I have to get up at 5AM for work). I need accountability and love that I found this challenge. Thank you!

I just checked the label on my package of corned beef and a 4 oz. serving = 220 calories. That's just the beef.

Sliced on a sandwich and on tacos. An easy way to prepare them is to cut in half; rotating the knife around the pit. Then slide a spoon between the skin and flesh to scoop each half out. This a way easier then peeling them.

I will be trying this! But, I got the same pre-washed bag from Giant for a side veggie and ate half a grasshopper! It grosed me out, but I guess you can count it as extra protein. I just recommend double checking for critters.

I weigh after. I use a Weight Watchers scale that converts from ounces to grams. I can zero out the plate, weigh an item, zero it again and add another food to the same plate. This makes it easier to weigh and use the same plate.

1/2 cup dry old fashion oatmeal with cinnamon and cut up apple microwaved for 2 minutes. It smells like apple pie and you start the day with a fruit. No sugar is needed because the apple sweetens it.

Two tablespoons of Coffeemate's fat free flavored creamers = 50 calories/cup.

I cut back to one cup instead of two. Coffeemate Fat Free is 25 calories per Tablespoon. I replaced the 2nd cup of coffee with plain hot tea.

I discovered over 20 years ago that Nutra Sweet gives me a weird headache and now Spenda does the same. I avoid them as much as I can. Sometimes I get the headache, check the food I ate, and sure enough it had one of them. Anything that gives you a headache can't be good for you. I use as little sugar as possible and I…
