Kale Chips --- The health food they warn you about

THEY ARE FREAKING AMAZING! i saw a quick easy recipe for them in a healthy eating handout at the Giant grocery store. Dried out the kale (it was pre-washed), sprinkled on salt, and added about 2 1/2 tbsps olive oil. Stuck it in the oven for 12 minutes. THEYRE LIKE THE HEALTHY PRINGLES: Once you pop, you can't stop! I just bought this 1 lb bag of kale on sunday and I've already eaten 70% or so of the bag. Part of me is freaking out because of all of the olive oil but wow...I now see what the big hubub is all about.

I will be trying this! But, I got the same pre-washed bag from Giant for a side veggie and ate half a grasshopper! It grosed me out, but I guess you can count it as extra protein.
I just recommend double checking for critters.

my roomate made these and gave a little bowl full, they were awesome! They remind me of roasted pumpkin seeds to be honest, but I love those too so no complaints here. Def worth a try!0

Id like to switch it up a bit. WHat variations are there? Im thinking of using lemon juice and pepper instead of salt and olive oil.0

But does it tastes as "chip like"? Kale has more of a bitter taste than spinach so that's why Im wondering.0 -

I made them for a girls' night in and everyone loved them. Just sprinkle with a little (not a lot) of salt and bake until crisp. They're really good.0 -
This is perfect since I always buy 2 bags of spinach (it's alawys on sale as a buy one get one free deal) and espite adding it to pastas, salads, and sandwiches, i always end up throwing out half a bag!0
