  • Get them gains
  • The same thing was happening to me about a year ago. Sometimes it would be when I got home from work, and sometimes it would start to happen 5 minutes into a workout. I would need to leave the gym because I felt weak as ****. At work I was eating too many carbs and not enough fat or protein. Fat and protein are what my…
  • Just another day off work. Spending the special day with my best friend Netflix. I've never been a big fan of typical Thanksgiving food anyways...I like it but I don't look forward to it. Except stuffing. I'll probably spend the day drinking beer and eating pizza.
  • To find out where my abs went.
  • 6% is lean as ****. Maintaining 10% is a challenge for me. Anyways, your BF will go up. You just need to get used to it.
  • How long do you maintain 6% BF for?
  • I'm 5'9" and usually 155 pounds. I also exercise 6 times a week. This weekend I ate 2 large pizzas (4000+ calories), an apple pie (1500+ calories), a cookie cake (3000+ calories), quarts of ice cream (5000+ calories), buttermilk biscuits (1000+ calories), and drank beer (3000+ calories). I weighed 160 pounds this morning.…
  • I got 3 slices of 3 meat pizza from Whole Foods yesterday. It's from Whole Foods so it was healthy. Probably only had like 100 calories per slice because they only use good pepperoni, bacon, and sausage. That's sarcasm. If you consider low carb healthy - thin out the dough. If you consider low fat healthy - use low fat…
  • To be cost effective, don't worry about protein preworkout. You should have enough protein in your diet not to need that. I eat oats preworkout....cheap and effective...and they do have a little protein.

  • I usually gain 10 pounds. But seriously, life happens. I love working out as much as the next guy, but you can't let it control your life.
  • I tried out crossfit, and there is an air of 'elitism' among some of the people. No one really bragged about it though. I do see tons of cars with those 13.1 stickers though. Ha. Point being, regardless of what people do, many of them like to show off what they are proud of. If it makes them happy and they're not hurting…
  • You will get stronger, to a point though. There isn't enough consistency and frequency at heavy weight to use crossfit as a dedicated strength program. The top level crossfitters usually do a strength program outside of the crossfit workouts. Your best bet is to get a strength program down, and then throw in crossfit for…
  • I gained 100 pounds in a year from drinking Gatorade.
  • Weight Watchers is essentially tracking just tracking your calorie / macro intake. Most people aren't going to overdo it on fruits and vegetables which is why they don't really count them (and fiber is crucial). It will work, as the people you know can attest to, but you have to figure out of it's really for you. I know…
  • What the are you eating that's so bad?
  • Just stick with your running shoes, you'll be fine. 'Crossfit shoes' are just shoes that support lifting (keeps heal close to ground) while still being decent for running/cross training. If running shoes are affecting your lifting, you can always just do it in socks.
  • Pushups (Strict, from knees, elevated, plyometric, hand stand, hand release) Situps (strict, knees to chest, crunches) Butterfly kicks Leg raises Bear Crawls Crab Walks Standing Jumps / Box Jumps Step Ups Burpees Run Walk Jog Sprint Broad Jump Walking Lunges Jumping Jacks Squats If you have a bar, tree limb, or something…
  • Yellow Cake, White Chocolate, and Cake Batter Ice Cream on top of pancakes. A full white chocolate macadamia cookie cake. 10 McDoubles (no cheese).
  • Your diary says a small green apple has 88 carbs? I'm pretty sure that's too high.
  • I drink mine black, with some artificial sweetener. If it's 5 star coffee I drink it black though. And no, it hasn't effected performance at all. On the weekends I workout in the morning sometimes, which interferes with my coffee schedule. I try to stop drinking coffee at least an hour before my workout, and also limit my…
  • If I sit on my *kitten* all day at a desk, I can maintain at around 2000 calories. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs.
  • You're just jealous because you aren't a WODKILLA.
  • I usually threw them in with some vegetables just to make it more filling. I didn't think they really had a taste. I didn't like spending 3 dollars for a handful of noodles though. Seems expensive when I can get 8 times the amount of regular pasta for 1 dollar.
  • I'm someone who has to get to 10-11% BF for visible abs...which isn't that easy to maintain year round. That's just my genetics and how I carry body fat. I've seen some guys with visible abs at a much higher BF, so you can't compare yourself to others. As said above, just lower your BF gradually and see what happens.
  • Not at all. Go for it.
  • Most drugs that affect you neurologically have instructions to taper off. Take half the regular amount for a week, 1/4th the amount, etc. I'm sure there are reputable websites that can help you out with this, or ask your doctor. Don't trust what you hear on MFP. Not even me. Ha.
  • It came out fairly accurate for me - the site said 14%. I have a skin caliper - they're only about 8-9 dollars. There are many sites that tell you how to use it properly. This gives me around 15%. Electronic scales vary based on water....which the signal passes through quickly. I don't know what you look like (muscle…
  • I tell them I switched from Marlboro Reds to Marlboro Lights.
