Im on vacation in Virginia right now and those same things are going thru my mind. Im just eating the way I know I should and ive dropped my calories some just to be "sure" I dont gain.

You should be proud of yourself that you recognized in time that you was overweight and not obese so you could do something about it sooner. Maybe she was upset that she didnt do anything about it until she was obese. Sometimes others are just jealous of others success. Dont let that come in between how you feel and what…

It really depends on the person. I started to notice after about 20 pounds in which I lost that in about a month and a half. Thats about when others started to notice as well. Good luck!!

Im 5'2, 160 lbs and wear sz 12. I can fit into sz 10 but they are tight. Havent been this sz in over 10 years :)

When I started in Jan 2011 I wanted to lose 65 pounds, that would put in a healthy BMI range. Ive lost 43 pounds so far. I thought it would take forever to lose it. You can do it just take it 1 pound at a time. Add me if you like.

My goal is set to 1.5 but I always lose 2 sometimes more each week.

We used to tell our kids we were having along time. Then when my daughter was 3 she said "mom if your alone then why do I hear you and dad"? :blushing: So now we say its our time-out to talk.

I ride a stationary bike. I can really feel it in my thighs, but my knees and ankles dont hurt like they do from running. This is how I have lost all my weight. Every now and then I will do a dvd or go for a walk.

Finding "me" is partly what its about. Once you find "you", you will be amazed how much more time you have for everyone else. Good luck .

I had my gall bladder removed about 11 years ago and I still have the same issues. Before I changed my eating habits (Jan 2011)if I ate fatty, spicy or greasy foods OMG there was hell to pay. It tore my tummy up. Now I dont eat those kinds of foods so im not bothered.

I have been hypothyroidism for about 4-5 years. I take Synthyroid daily. I think it works fine. I have lost 40 pounds so it can be done, it isnt easy but its possible. Please feel free to add me for support....anyone on this thread can add me.

For over 10 years Coke was my liquid intake. I went to the dentist one day and he said my teeth was showing signs of enamel damage. He said I could reverse it but I had to stop drinking pop. I quit cold turkey! I havent had Coke or pop in almost 2 years. I only drink water now. You can do it just take one step at a time.

People say that to me all the time, but thats ok. Not being obsessed or aware of what was going in my mouth is what got me here in the first place. When I reach my goal weight im sure they will have something else to say.

When I first started this journey in Jan, I never ate back ex calories. I ate 1200 a day- period. Then after exercise my net calories would be 800-900. During this time I lost 25 pounds. Now, I sometimes will eat them back. Thats if I want steak and baked potatoes for dinner otherwise I dont. Hope this helps.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? Your thyroid regulates your metabolism. I started out very tired and sluggish, didnt want to do anything. I went to the dr and she checked my thyroid. It didnt even register! Now I take medicine everyday. It made a huge difference.

I alsohave hypothyroidism. It makes it hard to lose weight, but it can be done. Add me if you like.

Ive done good dropping pounds but here within the last few weeks ive been at a stand still. Im eating good, staying under my calorie goal and exercising yet not a budge on the scale....its been a while I wonder if I need to have my thyroid checked again??
