Congrats on coming out! Better late than never :)

I use harmonized vegan protein
-
I loved fries and gravy and instant ramen but luckily I also loved vegetables and always wanted the salad bar when we would go for dinner.

I usually get through 2 and a bit depending on the workout.

Feel free to add me. I am consistent with my BBG workouts and I also spin, run weight lift and use TRX.

I have gotten sick in the past when I wasn't eating enough but the past few years my diet has been really focused on eating a large quantity and variety of fruits and especially vegetables and I have only had one cold in the past 3 years and no other illnesses.

Taking the stairs instead of the elevator and heading out for a lunch time walk can help. I walk to work but that may not be possible for everyone.

A protein powder (I use harmonized vegan) post workout can be helpful. Egg whites if you eat animal products are very high in protein and low in calorie.
-
Eating really large portions of steamed or raw vegetables can really help with that. They are nutrient dense but not calorie dense.
-
Can add me as well!

I love kale but I also love spinach and chard. I think cabbage though is the most underrated vegetable.

Bodybuilding.com has women's workout plans that you can follow which might be a good place to start. The plans will describe which exercise and how many reps and sets to do. You want to pick a weight that is challenging for you to complete the number of reps in the set but not impossible.

I think adding some muscle work and plyometrics would change your body composition. I like the Kayla itsines bikini body guides which come at a cost but you can find them online for free pretty easily. Any of those DVDs that give you a program to follow like insanity or Jillian Michaels etc would probably be a good…

Fennel and ginger are very good for reflux and trying to eat more vegetables in general. Pepper and garlic can exacerbate reflux. I struggled with reflux for years and was able to fix it by eating for proper digestion. I started taking digestive enzymes with lunch and dinner and a high quality soil based probiotic and…

Feel free to add me too! I log and post every day :)

As was said earlier you can lose weight with diet alone. Yoga differs depending on what style you are doing but they will all burn more calories than doing not doing anything (although restorative would likely not burn many calories at all). Doing yoga will not only increase strength and flexibility but it helps you to…

You can definitely work sushi into your eating plan. The variety that are do not include tempura bits or mayo tend to be lower in calories. It's not terribly processed either. I often will grab a. Brown rice avocado roll and steam up some vegetables or make a big salad and have that as a meal. If the sushi place that you…

I think it might be easier to make a list for the week, just because some things you might buy you could use throughout the week. I find it easy to be a little repetitive with breakfast and lunch. For example, I typically will but a couple of bags of frozen fruit which will last over a week and a bunch of kale, along with…

1) mostly vegan 2) a couple times a week - I often grab a brown rice avocado roll or a salad for lunch

Others have suggested counselling which I also think is a great idea. When you are with someone who has self-esteem issues that can often manifest in unhealthy ways within your relationship, like lashing out or trust issue etc. If there's anything you can do to encourage her to be healthier, maybe not lose weight…

I think if you are asked a question and you have a valuable experience or something that has helped you, you should feel comfortable sharing that. I often get asked for advise because I worked in the fitness industry for a number of years but I really try not to be prescriptive and just talk about options or tips that have…

I'm 5'8 and 148 but I wear a smaller size than I did when I was 135 because my body composition has changed so much due to weight training.

I strength train and do yoga and I find it's a nice compliment and works muscles that I miss in traditional strength training. I also find the strength training helps me with the strength components of yoga. For me personally I wouldn't be happy doing one or the other, I need both. I think as others have mentioned certain…

I am changing due to schedule changes that don't work for me as well. My plan is to try 3 that are in close proximity to see which one is the best match. Maybe you can try the ones in your area to see how you like them and then make a decision to stay or to leave.

Wow that's an incredible loss! Congrats!
-
Kale and berry smoothie as it digests very easily

Weight loss with reduced calories won't change the shape of your body. I feel you pain as I tend to gain weight around hips and thighs. I started doing a lot of lifting and plyometrics (jump squats and switch lunges) and I have found that I've been able to tighter up my lower body and build my upper body to create more of…

They are tasty cubed and cooked with smoked paprika salt and pepper with coconut or olive oil. Also good with avocado or salsa.

Fill up on vegetables first like cucumbers and hummus or celery and salsa and then indulge in a few treats :)
