Weigh them in grams. Go to Wolfram Alpha or Nutrient Data and find the highest calorie estimate. Use that. Or start cooking your own food. That is: Take the skin and meet off the bone. (Don't want to weigh the bone) Weigh it on a food scale. Say it comes up to 200 grams Use Wolfram Alpha.…

Yeah. I can't go to Applebee's while dieting. There is just about nothing there that isn't truly bad. Like, even at McDonald's I can find something low cal... Applebee's? It's like they try to put as many in as possible.

I would say if you're not losing weight at 1200 and are active as I imagine nurses are, you're not counting properly and are eating more than you think you are. How are you measuring things?

It's probably not. I am no pro but I recommend adding low calorie sides like salads, steamed/baked veggies, and other bulky fillers to your meals. Even for breakfast. I used to make cabbage soup that I could 'free eat' once I went over my calories for a day. It was just chicken broth, carrots, celery and cabbage all boiled…

Chawanmushi. This is delicious and easy to make. I love it. I watched the video and her recipe is very good. You don't have to use kamaboko or chicken, you can use mushroom, a bit of noodle, tofu, whatever you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUm1zM_IetM

How much water do you drink? Can you add low calorie salads to your meals? I am assuming you're hitting your macros. A big bowl of lettuce, cucumbers, radish, onion, celery and other things with few calories can go a long way.

Are you hungry, or not full? There is a difference and a lot of people have trouble with it. I eat until I am not hungry. Not until I am full.

I am using a modified version of this recipe. I edited it to be for a woman losing weight instead of a man maintaining. http://diy.soylent.me/recipes/copy-of-people-chow-230-cheap-49

My current program is DIY Soylent every meal I don't eat at a restaurant. That should be about 90% of my meals over a week. It's really hard to overeat Soylent. I am just testing it out so we will see if it works.

Haha. Mine is my.... Well it's sort of a lady's Robin outfit... Corduroy might be involved.

All the friends are mine. Take that everyone else!

Serena, you keep saying you're doing it to eat a normal amount of food. 1800 calories is a normal amount of food. The average person is going to eat/need 1500 - 2100 calories. If you're a woman you're going to be at the lower end of that in most cases. You need to get over the idea of a "normal" amount of food.

IMO, you need to break with the idea of eating more. Do the TDEE - 20 % and stick with that. Exercising more so you can eat more just puts you in a cycle where you never really learn to control how much you eat.

I am mostly a DC fan, but give me a bit of Deadpool or Wolverine and I won't turn my nose up. Actually, I am about to sign up for Marvel's 10-dollar-a-month-read-all-the-things program.... I guess I like both. Actually, just in pure numbers, while I have more DC than Marvel, I have more Deadpool (And Cable & Deadpool) than…

Yeah. That will be nice. I actually keep everything in a handful of excel spreadsheets. I am mostly on here for mobility and social stuff.

What is that?

I am but I am also poor. Maybe someday. I love data.
