Thank you! I'm going to try upping my calories to 1400/day for a week, and eating my exercise calories also. I'm still going to try and maintain my carb intake at <30g/day as I do feel great cutting out sugars and carbs from my diet. The main benefit of eating low carb for me is getting my insulin response under control…

Thank you for sharing!! If anyone is also interested Im on a low carb diet also and my diary is open for people to take a look at. I'm always curious to see how other keto-lovers manage to get their fat content up.

Wow! Im speechless...you look amazing!!! How tall are you? How often do you work out to get your arms so defined?

You can do a guesstimate of your body frame by using something like this: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/fsz I always thought I was a big boned/big framed, but as it turns out, im actually considered small/medium framed and I was just using the "im big boned" phrase as an excuse :) You never know what's lurking…

haha i actually wore one on a shopping trip to the mall with my mom. It got a little annoying after a while and honestly if you are realllllly scrounging to get more exercise calories in to eat, you should probably just hit the gym :)

Great movie :) Kinda crappy the first 30 minutes or so, but the gist of it is really informative and great. My sister and I both have been following the low carb, high protein/high fat diet with great success! The science makes sense, and if you are interested in learning more pick up a book by Gary Taubes or read his…

Do upper body weight training. Pushups, pull ups (if you can). I would suggest working on your back muscles also to correct posture as this can give the illusion of "lift" haha. Other than this, Chest presses and rows are all good to do.

Heartburn can manifest itself as chest pain. Try taking some antacids. Hope you feel better! :(

Low carb diet/ketogenic diet will help with your symptoms. I would cut carbs to 50-100g a day, increase your protein and fiber intake. If you can handle going below 50g a day then try that also. Ill friend you so that you can see my diary and the kinds of food that I eat on this kind of diet :) Good luck!

Amen and Thank you for this. People need to start understanding that throughout human history we have been largely meat and protein eaters. Enjoying carb heavy meals only started with the introduction of mass producing corn and wheat. The bodys default fuel source come from the break down of fats (through beta oxidation)…

This site really is an eye opener, especially if you are mindlessly eating or not taking note of the meals you are consuming throughout the day. I used to use another site to log in my foods, but the nice thing about this place is the community atmosphere and friends you make who push you, challenge you, and make you feel…

Evolutionarily, humans evolved to eat a high protein, high fat, low sugar/carb diet. Those who are vehemently opposed to low carb diets need to learn a little bit of biochemistry to understand how the body utilized carbohydrates, proteins and fats as well as how they are stored in the body. The word "diet" implies that its…

From what i understand and from what has been said by previous contestants is that they eat about 1000-1200 calories a day and work out 4-6 hrs every day. That being said, a previous winner of TBL said he gained back over 30lbs 5 day after being on the diet because of water weight and how dehydrated he was. I think the…
