I prefer losing weight while enjoying all foods in moderation... but maybe that's just me
-
Once every 2 weeks. I feel like any more than that would lead to frustration
-
Hmmm...so basically my 11 kg weight loss is only water and muscle 😂😂
-
This question is a scary example of how little most people understand about weight loss and how it works
-
I'm not sure where you got that impression because on the other message boards it's only about calories ... apart from the few keto posts (dont get me started on those lol). Weight loss has nothing to do with carbs it's only calories that matter. Simple

I'm 5"2. 10kg down and 5 to go!
-
I do the same. I think my family are confused as to how I'm losing so much weight when they see me eating biscuits every night 😂
-
So am I. I feel like it's a fad quick fix which isn't really maintainable in the long run. Not sure why anyone would want to live that way when you can get the same results eating cookies and cake 😂 each to their own I guess

I've lost 10kg without any exercise whatsoever. Weight loss is about creating a calorie deficit and this can be done by just eating less. Exercise is just an alternative way of creating a deficit but it's not as important as whT you eat
-
I actually find it strange that it's even given a name. It's more like, eat when you are hungry so you can save your calories. Without realizing it, I'm an intermittent faster as I hardly ever eat before 12. I dont really recommend doing it if you are hungry in the morning though.

That's the beauty of counting calories. Nothing is off limits so you dont need a cheat day!
-
Stop with all the fad diets and just count calories. I'm sure you already know a thing about it since you are on this forum?
-
And yet there are people who will tell you that it's actually about the number of carbs and proteins and sugars you eat blah blah. The truth is so simple, but people are so stupid.
-
Lol. Keto people will always try convince themselves and everyone else that their diet is sustainable and flexible because they get to 'eat so kick yummy full fat and creamy foods'. Um ya.. so can flexible dieters, only we dont have to treat carbs like they are demons.. or anything else for that matter. Limiting any food…

Still not at my goal but getting there slowly!
-
You can still eat any keto foods without actually saying 'I'm doing keto'. By giving your diet a name it means that you are being restrictive and committing to never eating certain food groups which is a recipe for failure in my opinion.
-
Why do Keto when you can lose weight eating anything you want? It honestly baffles me why people want to make weight loss so complicated
-
I saw the topic and knew this thread would be entertaining 😂

I weigh myself every 2 weeks and I honestly think if I weighed more often it would mess with my mood and progress. The scale isn't rigid. One bad day and it might go up but you must understand it's not weight gain. As long as there is a downward trend you are doing well so rather weigh in every now and then and let the…

Where have you circled? Nevermind apparently you can't post pics on an android
-
I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach a pic???

Some days are more accurate than others but on average I don't go over that. The problem is I'm really short and don't have that much to lose which is why 1200 is necessary for me. I don't find it difficult tho as luckily i don't have a big appetite
-
If i eat more than 1200 I don't lose weight
-
Yesterday 80% of my intake was sugary food but I didn't feel guilty as I still stayed in a calorie deficit. We are taught that weight loss requires boring clean eating forever and it's not true. Portion control is actually more important than what you eat and thanks to ny new attitude towards food i am now 8kg down in 9…

Personally I don't see why you should. If you are hungry, eat. But I don't believe in forcing yourself to eat just to reach a certain calorie goal. If anything you can use those left over calories later in the week when you really are hungry
-
You would lose weight because you aren't eating carbs... kidding! People like to complicate weight loss and blame it on certain food groups because they can't accept that they just need to put the damn fork down
-
Personally I would eat fewer calories that day, and then at the dinner have small portions of everything without actually counting every calorie. This is a way of life so I think sometimes u have to let go a bit, and i don't mean binging on the food.. I just mean stop eating when you are full and try fill up on the lower…

Not trying to be rude but why do people on Atkins/keto use myfitnesspal? Doesn't it go against the basic focus of this app which is to count calories? I'm genuinely interested so no offence

I think maybe I should have worded my post differently. I'll use myself as an example: I used to count calories religiously and log everything but after a while I realised I just kind of knew naturally when I had reached my limit and actually stopped counting. Most of my weight was actually lost when I started listening to…
